How to practice the impermanence of death

First, learning to die is impermanent, three fundamentals, 1.

Except Buddhism, it is useless to die.

1. Decided to die (1) Death must come: thinking of my grandfather. Grandma, grandparents, relatives, contacts and many living humanists all died in the end. We should be alert, they will die, I will die, and everyone will die. Therefore, before, we had a false feeling in our hearts, as if death was far away from us. Even feel that death has nothing to do with us. Actually, this is an illusion. In fact, we're all going to die. Because of what, from the experiences of people around us in the past, we will see that they will die and we will die. Death will come (2) Life expectancy will not increase, but will decrease.

Our life is like a burning candle. On the surface, it seems that we are still far from death. In fact, with our heartbeat. When we breathe, when we speak, the length of our life is decreasing like the length of a candle. Keep killing. Buddha said that although we are alive now, at the same time, we are also dying step by step. Because our lives burn like candles. It's decreasing. (3) Although it exists, there is no leisure to practice the law.

We observe that we are doomed to die, and step by step. In that case, let's take a look again. Do we have much time to practice? Actually, it is not. Growing up, I was too young to understand Buddhism at all, so I couldn't learn Buddhism. I am old, physically and mentally exhausted, and I have no intention of learning Buddhism. The only person who can learn Buddhism is from a teenager to his fifties and sixties. Even after 50 or 60 years, there will be a period of studying Buddhism. Master Zong Kaba told us that we should eliminate eating and drinking at this time.

Pull, disperse, sleep and deduct our working hours, and there are many inevitable human interference times, as well as our own time to relax. In fact, the time that can really be used for learning is very short. Maybe a lifetime is only five or six years, which is really used for practice. If we don't even have five or six years of freedom, and you see that such a long life has only such a short time to practice, then you should really be very vigilant.

This means that the first paragraph decided to die for these three reasons.

Death is infinite (1) Life is infinite: human life is infinite, which does not mean that we can live to seventy or eighty years old, just as the ancients said: most lonely souls are teenagers, and sometimes many people may not live to old age, but they may reach middle age. In my prime, young people, teenagers and babies all died, so people's life span is uncertain, so don't have illusions that I can live to 70-80 years old, like others, 80-90 years old. Or tell fortune how old I can live. In fact, these are not decisions. (2) There are more dead edges and fewer living edges.

: what is the fate of living? Just like releasing, chanting, repenting, and then coming back to life can increase. This belongs to the fate of living. The so-called living margin is that through such hard work, hard work, our life span can be increased more or less. This is the so-called edge of life. In fact, there is little margin to live, because we spend most of our time in leisure and business. We have less time to fly and less time to study hard, so we have little chance to live. Even many people, even many Buddhists, don't even cultivate this kind of fate and prolong life, but cultivate blessings all the way, which is not helpful to prolong life. Relatively speaking, there are many reasons for death, which we can observe. Like what? Observe fire, water and wind. Earthquake: Sichuan earthquake, suddenly many people don't know how to die, so did the 9.2 1 earthquake in Taiwan Province province. Many people died in their sleep, and they don't know how. These people would never have thought that he would suddenly die so inexplicably. They are like this, so are we. We don't know which day we met this kind of earthquake and suddenly died like this. ? Flood: Like the Yellow River flood in Chinese mainland, or even the Yangtze River flood in the past. The same is true of Taiwan Province Province. It rained cats and dogs and flooded. Many people were washed away by the water and many people fell asleep. Just like this typhoon. Many people were washed away by water in their sleep, and I don't know how they died. ? Fire: Fire is also ruthless, and it will devour our lives at any time. We have observed a lot of experience. so this is it? Wind: Typhoon, hurricane, tornado. These will all hurt our lives. This is the heartless part. What about all beings? They are our past unjust creditors, or supernatural beings and supernatural unjust creditors. Or the unjust creditor in this world's human nature, who had a bad relationship with him in the past, will pay this debt when karma will be encountered in this life. At this time, he will hurt us and even ruin our lives, so we observe that there are too many karma for death in this world of concubines, so there are relatively few karma for living, so death is really uncertain. There is really nothing wrong with this second largest. Because there are too many dead edges and too few living edges. (3) Life is extremely fragile: faced with so many causes of death, such as earthquakes, floods, fires, windstorms, or unjust relatives, creditors and even bacterial infections, and so on. There are too many crises. Our bodies are like bubbles on the water, which will burst when a needle is gently pricked. We are facing so many natural disasters. Facing the harm of unjust relatives and creditors. Or the harm of bacteria and so on. Our color body is actually as fragile as water foam, and it may burst at any time. It's not what we think now. I am still in good health. I still have a long time to live. Not exactly. Our bodies are very fragile. Therefore, through these three reasons, we observe that death is indefinite. 3.

When you die, there is nothing but Buddhism.

Our relatives, good friends, teachers, family members and disciples are all the same. You are better with him. In the face of death, you must go alone, without company. No matter how good the relationship is, even he is willing to die for you. In fact, you are walking alone. Why? Because personal karma is borne by individuals, karma comes. Leaving means leaving, so even if we die, our relatives and friends will cry, scream and make noise around us, which is so sad. But he didn't help us at all. Some people may not be obsessed with relatives and friends, but they may be obsessed with wealth.

Wealth cannot be taken away at all.

People in the world always have the illusion that I feel safe if I have money. So he has been pursuing.

Money, constantly want to get a sense of security, in fact, his heart will never get a sense of security, why? Because wealth itself just can't bring us a sense of security in this life or even in the next. No matter in this life, when we are dying, no matter how rich you are, whether you are affectionate in Rainbow, Taiwan Province Province, or someone in the mainland, you can't take a penny with you when you die. He can only watch his beloved baby leave him. The more wealth he has, the more pain he feels inside, but he can't do anything inside, because it's something he can't take away. Therefore, wealth is useless.

It's not good. We love her so much, give her the best, use the best and wash her with the best things. Eat her, care for her, and hope that our bodies will remain healthy and strong, but when we die, our bodies will be like children and babies. She doesn't know what kindness means. She said she would leave, and if she said she would abandon you, so would our bodies. You have loved and cared for her all your life, but no one can stop her from leaving you at the end of her life. All we say is that we feel healthy, or we are young, and so on, and I feel safe. In fact, these are all illusions. In fact, the real body is not the place we rely on. All observations pass through these three points. When we die, everything around us, the material realm, is not the realm we rely on. The only realm we can rely on is Buddhism, as far as we are concerned. This dharma refers to keeping faith and willing to do it, which is the third-class food for cultivating pure land.

This is where you can really rely on when you are dying. Many people often don't take the place you should rely on as a treasure, but seize the wealth and marry this smelly body. I didn't catch what I should, but I caught what I shouldn't. It's a pity that we didn't regret it until we were dying.

Therefore, according to the observation of three fundamental and even nine causes, we have determined an idea in our hearts that this death is impermanent and life is impermanent. Come at any time, so practice hard. After we understand this truth, we will turn to Buddhism.
