Where is Putuo Temple?

Putuo Temple is located in Xiangzhou District, Zhuhai City.

Putuo Temple is a tourist attraction in Zhuhai. Located in Dongkeng Village, Qianshan Street, Xiangzhou District, Zhuhai City, Guangdong Province. It is located at the foot of Phoenix Mountain. It is Guanyin Bodhisattva Huaying Dojo, formerly known as Huai 'an Ancient Temple. After many vicissitudes of history, only ruins remain. In 2000, at the invitation of four people, the great monk Ming Sheng vowed to start a mountain to build a temple. Now Putuo Temple has been built into a ten-square jungle integrating pilgrimage meditation, charity education and Buddhism promotion.

The whole scenic spot of Putuo Temple will be built into a garden-like scenic spot including nine functional areas, such as memorial archway, Tallinn, food, commerce and one thought. There are many longevity turtles in the pond in the temple, which has become a highlight of Putuo Temple.

History of Putuo Temple

Putuo Temple in Zhuhai is located at the foot of Fenghuang Mountain in Xiangzhou District, Zhuhai City, Guangdong Province, with a total area of about 6,543,800 square meters. This is the Dojo of Guanyin Bodhisattva Huaying. Its predecessor was Huai 'an Ancient Temple.

According to the Records of Xiangshan County, "During the reign of Shunzhi in the Qing Dynasty, Ma climbed the Phoenix Mountain, saw the high mountains and dense forests, and the scenery was quiet, so he made a heartfelt donation to build a Buddhist temple to worship Master Guanyin, which was the evidence of the early history", and also confirmed the "willing to live" in the twelve wishes of Guanyin Bodhisattva. After several historical changes, only the ruins of Buddhist temples remained at the end of last century.

In the spring of 2000, with the approval of Zhuhai Municipal Bureau of Ethnic and Religious Affairs, Ming Sheng, Vice President of Chinese Buddhist Association and President of Guangdong Buddhist Association, personally led two groups of people. After raising funds in many ways, it was established.
