First, the prototype of Bridge

Let's talk about this bridge first. The bridge that the guerrillas want to blow up is real. It is located in the former Yugoslav Republic of Montenegro. It is called Tara River Canyon Bridge, which is a famous bridge in Europe.

This bridge was built in 1940, 1942 was bombed by guerrillas, and 1946 was reopened to traffic after World War II. Therefore, the story of the film "Bridge" is not fictional, but is based on real historical events.

However, there is a slight difference. Historically, guerrillas bombed the bridge to stop the invading Italian army, and the Germans never entered this area.

There are many examples of blowing up important bridges to stop the enemy during the war. For example, in order to stop the Japanese invaders during the Anti-Japanese War, China blew up the Huitong Bridge and Qiantang River Bridge, which had just been opened to traffic.

With the increase of overseas tourists in China in recent years, many people come to pay their respects at the Tara River Canyon Bridge, but some people are helpless. Many tourists, even the authoritative media, made a mistake and made an own goal.

There is a statue at the bridge head of the current Tara River Canyon Bridge in memory of the Yugoslav national hero Bozdal Zudzic. Because he died in World War II and the statue was erected at the bridge head of the Tara River Canyon Bridge, many people, including the media, thought that he was the prototype of the guerrilla commander "Tiger" in the movie "Bridge".

In fact, it was a huge own goal. Bozdal Zugic was not a guerrilla involved in the bridge bombing, nor even a subordinate of Tito. He is a lieutenant in the Yugoslav Defence Force. He resisted the orders of his superiors and refused to surrender when fighting against the invasion of Italian army. He led his men to die and die heroically. His heroic deeds even won the respect and praise of his opponents. Because Zugic's hometown is in the Tara River Gorge, his family erected this statue for him at the bridge. In fact, this Yugoslav national hero did not participate in the bridge bombing, let alone the prototype of the "tiger".

The people who really participated in the bridge bombing are on the monument at the bridge head. This monument is to commemorate Yaukovich, an engineer who participated in the bridge bombing that year. He is one of the construction engineers of the Tara River Canyon Bridge. With his help, Yugoslav guerrillas successfully blew up the bridge.

However, Yaukovich did not lay down his life to blow up the bridge like the "engineer" in the movie. A few months after the bridge exploded, he was arrested by the Italian army. The invaders hated Yaukovich's bombing of the bridge, and they brutally killed Yaukovich on the bridge. So the ending of shooting an engineer in the movie is the same.

Second, "ah! Bye, friends.

The bridge has left many interesting misunderstandings for domestic audiences. For example, the film was actually made two years before Walter defended Sarajevo, but the order of translation in our country is bridge. Walter was shot at defending Sarajevo 1972, translated as 1973, and Bridge was shot at 1969, translated as 1977. Bridge was originally an internal reference film, but it was released that year to welcome Tito's visit to China.

Because before "Walter Defends Sarajevo" became famous, many viewers thought "Bridge" was the sequel of that movie. After all, the actors in the two films have a lot of repetition, and the authors were also very confused.

Interestingly, some viewers have been confused for longer, and they always think that "tiger" is another name for "Walter".

The bigger oolong may be the song "Ah! Goodbye friends, once everyone thought it was a Yugoslav song to celebrate the guerrillas' going to war, which smelled like "the wind blows and the water cools, and the strong men are gone forever."

It's all twisted. "ah! "Goodbye, Friends" is first of all an Italian guerrilla song. Because Italy and Yugoslavia are inextricably linked, Yugoslav guerrillas can also sing it, and in the movie, the first singer of this song is also an Italian Zavadoni.

Secondly, according to the Italian translation, Bella means girl, which means the song should actually be called "Ah! Goodbye, beautiful girl, this also corresponds to the lines in the film. Bambino once joked with his partner Zavadoni about finding a girl in Florence, Italy, and they also sang this song.

Interestingly, when dubbing, this song was directly sung by the dubbing actor, that is, Hou He who voiced Zawadoni and Babineau. They learned it on a tape recorder and sang it when dubbing. Unexpectedly, this song became an immortal classic.

Of course, we also know that it's not that the translator doesn't know the original intention of the song, but that he has made changes for the artistic conception of the film. In my opinion, this adaptation is great, and it is a good re-creation for the song itself, the film itself and the audience.

Third, the bridge is not a war movie.

The story of "Bridge" is very simple, basically similar to the story of "Surprise Attack" filmed in China. In order to prevent the enemy from crossing the key bridge, the guerrillas must blow up the bridge within the specified time, and they will pay the price of blood and life for it.

But unlike the war movie or the military movie Surprise, Krvavac, the director of Bridge, believes that Bridge should not belong to war and military movies, but a work about human nature.

In the Bridge, the fighting process can basically be classified as an anti-German drama. Guerrillas will always have inexhaustible bullets and ready-made equipment, and the enemy will always "listen to the command." Throwing grenades is like consulting Dixie. The strength and height are just right. Let Dixie fight and kill again. It looks like a relay race.

Therefore, if you want to see the battle scenes, Bridge really has nothing to see. The author thinks that the classics of Bridge mainly lie in humanity, suspense and sacrifice.

It is human nature that Babineau shouted "Zawadoni" before his sacrifice, which shows how many people shed tears. Even his best friend, Zawadoni tried to blow him up. This is the most tearful part of the film. Even now, it's really easy to make people cry, even if you watch it again, hear Bambino's desperate cry, see Zawadoni's pain of killing his partner himself, and remember the part where they talked and laughed and went to Florence to find a girl together.

Of course, for us, the voice actor Li Liansheng contributed a lot. It is said that when he was worthy of this passage, he could not help crying. After the dubbing, he hugged Hou Guanqun who voiced Zawadoni, and the two dubbing actors wept for their roles.

Suspense, the most impressive villain in Bridge is no longer Dr. Hoffman, but Cowes the Owl, who contributed a lot of jokes and twists and turns to the film. For example, the scene where he criticized the guerrillas was like a stand-up comedy: "Please put your hand down, I always can't fathom a woman's heart."

Then when the guerrillas wanted to kill each other collectively, the owl suddenly became a guerrilla again and killed a group of German soldiers. According to common sense, this is irreversible.

Unexpectedly, the owl is still a villain, which is really brain-burning. Interestingly, it is said that the names of actors who voice villains are not displayed in the subtitles of domestic movies, but owls are an exception.

At the end of the film, the engineer blew up his beloved bridge with his life. This ending is not only a tribute to the prototype Yaukovich, but also a tribute to those who died for national liberation. These sacrifices include soldiers and engineers, and of course, the "good bridge."

Unfortunately, the bridge was bombed and can be repaired, but what if there is no country? What director Krvavac could not understand before his death was the disappearance of Yugoslavia. As an audience, we reread The Bridge and Walter Defending Sarajevo, which also have different tastes.
