Sanqing in Taoism refers to those three immortals.

Also known as the leader of Tian Tong, from the novel Romance of Gods, also known as the spiritual treasure Buddha of Shangqing, is the leader of this sect. As far as we can see, the name of "Sanqing" first appeared in Tao Hongjing's "True Spiritual Industry Map" written in Nanliang. The book arranges the order of immortals, which is divided into seven levels, and each level has a median value. On the first middle position, on the theory of virtual emperor and Taoist monarch, it is appropriate to be named Yuanshi Tianzun. Secondly, I went to Shengtai, Gao Qing and Huangyuan Avenue, Chen Yu. Volume 7 of the Book of Taoist Collection, Taiping Department and Three-point Beads Capsule quoted the old gentleman as saying: "This is the realm of Jade Qing, and it has been 35 days since the early Yuan Dynasty. This is the upper bound, the road is too high (Lingbao Tianzun), more than 34 days. The territory of Taiqing is too close to the eye, that is, the moral Buddha [Taishang Laojun] is more than 33. " So "Sanqing" became the highest god of Taoism.
