I am a lay disciple who converted to Buddhism. Is it a virtue or a sin to give people meat?

It is a great merit to give meat to ordinary beings or bodhisattvas. According to Buddhist scriptures, when Buddha Sakyamuni was the rabbit king in his last life, he saw that Maitreya was starving in his last life, so he gave up the rabbit and made it into a roast rabbit for him to eat (although he would rather die than eat it and bake it himself). The dedication of the rabbit made the later Buddha Sakyamuni.

But it's hard for monks in China to eat meat, at least it can make ordinary monks angry.
