Qi Fengshan Fortune _ Qifengshan Temple

Which mountain is better to climb in Dongguan?

Mountains to climb in Dongguan: Qifeng Mountain and Shuilian Mountain.

Qifengshan 1

Qifeng Mountain can be said to be the most popular mountain in Dongguan. It is located in the center of Dongguan, in Qifeng Park in Dongcheng. Qifeng Mountain is not high, but there are immortals. There is an ancient Guanyin Temple in Huang Qi at the foot of the mountain. Built in the Song Dynasty, people burn incense and pray for blessings in an endless stream. Every year on the first day of the first month, there is a sea of people here.

On the top of Qifeng Mountain stands a big lantern, which can be seen from a distance. Especially at night, lanterns are lit like red lighthouses. Hanging lanterns on the top of Huang Qi Mountain is the first of the eight ancient scenic spots in Dongguan. Qifeng Peak has an excellent view and can have a bird's eye view of the whole city of Dongguan. You can choose a wide and flat cement road, or you can choose a multi-step mountain road to climb to the top, each with its own scenery.

2. Shuilianshan

Shuilian is located in Chengnan Shuilian Forest Park. Shuilian can be said to be the earliest famous mountain in Dongguan. Its fame can be traced back to the Western Han Dynasty, when Gong Peng lived in seclusion and practiced medicine here. Halfway up the hill, there is a Gong Peng platform, where you can see the statue of Gong Peng.

In the Song Dynasty, there were Dongshan Academy, Dongshan Temple, Xishan Temple, Baiyi Temple, Kannonji Temple and Lv Zu Temple on the mountain, which had long been lost in the torrent of years. Now the gates of Baiyi Temple and Xishan Temple have been rebuilt on the original site.

How beautiful the water lotus mountain is, a poem by Chen Lian, a poet in Dongguan in the Ming Dynasty, proves this point: a small Penglai outside the city, a natural picture unfolds. The road passed Huaying, and people came from Liu Yin. In ancient caves, smoke and water are stored, and monuments erode rain and moss. Chen Daoren, a white-headed man, lingers on the idea of hospitality.
