Why climb a ladder when you can turn into wings? Wang Bo's poems embody a kind of self-confidence.

A few days ago, I answered such a question: "Why climb a ladder when you can become wings?" What philosophy of life does this poem embody?

These two poems are from the work of Wang Bo, one of the four outstanding figures in the early Tang Dynasty: "Thinking of Immortals in the View".

The jade shelf is hidden, and the old traces of Jintan are lost. Take the flowers to Zixi, and step on Qingxi under the leaves.

The dew is still like milk, and the stone pulp is still like mud. Why climb a ladder when you can turn into wings?

First of all, what does the title of this poem mean?

First, what is the concept of Huaixian?

It seems strange that there are fairies in the scenery.

Poems about immortals are common themes. Many poets have poems about immortals, such as Lu's poems about immortals, Lu Guimeng's three poems about immortals, Li Bai's poems about immortals, and his own poems about immortals:

Hecen has a strange way, and Linzhou is rich in immortals. Ziquan Shuzhu Liquid, Xuanyan Liedanpa.

I've always wanted to put on a dust net and climb on the cloud car. Love is extremely lonely, and the phoenix is tired.

This road is close to Peng Ying, which means it is only a bright spot in the market. Sitting idly and gloomily is empty on the river.

Wang Bo also wrote a preface for this poem:

The guest has come from the secluded mountain, set out from the forest valley, and the clouds are in the clouds, thinking about the solution, chanting the mountains and rivers forever, and the trace has stagnated, so the book is embarrassing.

The preface means that a hermit from a deep mountain told me that I lived in seclusion between the forest and the valley. It gave me a secluded heart. Tassels, crowns and seals also refer to official positions. Thinking about solving the problem is to solve the problem of abandoning officials and retiring.

Let's go back to Wang Bo's topic of "conceiving immortal". In view, it should mean in Taoist temple. Wang Bo Taoist Temple is pregnant with immortals.

Wang Boyou has a five laws, entitled "Seeking Taoist View":

There is wisdom and light, full of scale. The green altar clears the laurel sill, and the Dan cave loosens its pivot.

There are three mountains in Yuli and five mountains in the golden box. You can't get it, but you can't get it.

According to some records, the concept of "seeking Tao" is a long-term interest view, which is said to be the place where Zhang Tianshi practiced Buddhism.

Is Wang Bo in Changli's Vision "Huaixian"? This is not very clear.

Second, briefly explain "Huaixian is in view":

The first six sentences are all scenery.

Jade shelf books, "jade shelf" refers to a jade pavilion, praising long bookshelves, residual books and unfinished books. In the Taoist temple, I saw long and empty bookshelves.

Old traces of Jintan. Jintan, an altar dedicated to immortals in Taoism. Chen Ziang's Preface to Sending Two or Three People to the Mid-Autumn Festival once wrote:

There are two immortals in Songshan Mountain, who drifted from the prince to the jade emperor in autumn, and the legacy of Jintan Phoenix flute has been silent for thousands of years.

The poet came to a quiet Taoist temple. The book is empty, and the Jintan seems to have traces of wandering immortals.

Later, following the poet's walk, he began to describe the surrounding scenery: attracting flowers to find purple streams and stepping on clean streams. The dew is still like milk, and the stone pulp is still like mud.

The poet approached a cave with stalactites along the mountain stream and Qingxi. According to the story in The Legend of the Immortal:

Joan Shu, Zhou Fengshi also. Can exercise qi and refine shape. Boiling stone pulp and taking it is called stalactite. For hundreds of years, there has been a stone bed in Taishi Mountain. Eight treasures promote longevity, and five stones prolong life. Joan gets it from the tree, refining the marrow and bait essence. People walk for a hundred years, but they are light. Sleep in the deep mountains and walk in the fairy court.

The first few sentences describe the scenery and write down the immortal treasure house of life. All for the last two sentences.

The main idea of this poem lies in the last two sentences:

Why climb a ladder when you can turn into wings?

In front of me, I praised this place as a fairy living, and then said that I could grow my own wings and soar into the sky without the help of a ladder.

The deeper meaning is very clear, which is the self-confidence that poets often express: if you can ascend to heaven and become immortal, why ask for help?

Third, similar expression.

It is said that Wang Bo can write at the age of six and is known as a "child prodigy". At the age of sixteen, he became a scholar and was awarded the title of Saburo, becoming a literary master of Pei Wang (Li Xian). Later, because of his talent, writing "Cockfighting" was self-defeating, and as a result, he was exempted from the official position.

When he visited his father, he passed by Nanchang and went to Tengwangge to attend a banquet. At the banquet, he encouraged others to do good deeds and wrote "Preface to Tengwang Pavilion", which spread through the ages, showing his conceit.

Apart from Wang Bo, it is not uncommon to express full confidence instead of placing hopes on other people's works. Similar poems, the old street is most familiar with Yu Shinan's "Cicada":

Cicada droops like a tassel on a hat, its tentacles suck the clear dew, and its voice spreads from the branches of the straight Shulang tree. Cicada is far away from cicada because cicada is on a tall tree, not relying on autumn wind.

The cicada's voice is high and far away, completely his own loud voice, which has nothing to do with the autumn wind. I am upright and famous in the south of the city. I won it myself, not by others.

Li Bai's "seeing friends off to Shu" also wrote:

It is said that the road from here to Shudu is rugged and difficult. The cliff rises abruptly from the face of the human face, and the qi rises with the rise of the horse's head. Flowers-like trees cover the path of Qin Ruchuan, the river that flows around the river, and the capital of Shu. Your advance and retreat have been decided, and you won't be asked about the good Kun Pei.

Your advance and retreat have been decided, and you won't be asked about the good Kun Pei. I walked out of my own way, my life had already been decided, and I didn't need any fortune-telling help.

Li Bai's poems are similar to Wang Bo's "Seeing Fairy in View". The first six sentences are all foreshadowing, and the last two sentences are the main idea of an article.

Junping refers to Yan Junping, the master of Yang Xiong, a ci writer in Han Dynasty. He was a thinker and Yi-ology scholar in the late Western Han Dynasty. It is said that he wrote a prediction that "Wang Mang will be punished and use force to prosper the country", and predicted in advance that "Wang Mang will usurp power" and "use force to prosper the country".

Because in downtown Chengdu, his factory made a living by divination, so the ancients often used Yan Junping's allusions to write poems in Chengdu or Sichuan.

Concluding remarks

Wang Wei, a poet in the prosperous Tang Dynasty, once said: Middle-aged people find their way and come to live at the foot of this mountain. We can only think about the beautiful life of Wang Wei, an honest hermit who doesn't have to work and eat and wear.

As a nobody in the market economy, financial freedom is beyond the reach of many people all their lives. 996, 7 15, we are all trying to persist year after year, but how many people can "become wings by themselves"?

In fact, many people wish they had a ladder in front of them, right?
