Xiqiao Mountain Baofeng Temple is a cultural tourist attraction.

Xiqiao Mountain Baofeng Temple is located in Xiqiao Town, Nanhai District, Foshan City, Guangdong Province. It is one of the four famous temples in South Guangdong and a good place to pray for blessings.

Since the spread of Buddhism to the east in the Jin Dynasty, there have been many eminent monks in Xiqiao Mountain, and the incense has gradually flourished in the Ming Dynasty. Baofeng Temple is quite famous because of the promotion of Master Huilian. It was built in the Shen Jia period (1404) during the Yongle period of the Ming Dynasty and rebuilt in the Jihai period of Chenghua (1479).

In recent years, with the approval of relevant provincial departments, the Baofeng Temple of Xiqiao Mountain has been rebuilt. Baofeng Temple was rebuilt in shipai village Snake Mountain, Xiqiao Mountain. The new site is180m long from north to south and120m wide from east to west, covering an area of 21600m2. On the central axis of the temple, there is a mountain gate and a hall of great heroes. There are Bell Tower, Drum Tower, Guanyin Hall, Dizang Hall, Manjusri Hall and Pu Xian Hall on both sides, as well as the abbot building and temples. The building is designed according to the Ming Dynasty style, and the original architectural style is preserved as much as possible, making Baofeng Temple elegant and simple.

The First Temple in Baofeng Temple-Tianwang Temple. As soon as I entered the temple, the first statue I saw was all smiles. The big belly Buddha is Maitreya Buddha, also called Laughing Buddha. Behind Maitreya, wearing armor and holding a diamond pestle, the majestic bodhisattva Wei Tuo is also known as Wei Tuotian.

There are four giant buddhas on both sides, which are called "Four Heavenly Kings to Protect the World", that is, "Four donkey kong", which means good weather.

Baofeng Temple's Ursa Major Hall is the main hall. On October 28th, 2007 (that is, the 10th day of December in Xu Bing), a grand inauguration ceremony and the unveiling ceremony of the Buddha statue were held in the Hall of Ursa Major. Now the abbot is Shi Xinjun, which is officially open to tourists. The Hall of the Great Hero enshrines the three treasures of Buddha, namely, Sakyamuni Buddha, Pharmacist Buddha and Amitabha Buddha.

The left and right sides of the square are the bell tower and the drum tower respectively, and the large relief in front of the square is the picture of the pharmacist going to the sea.

There are two halls on the left and right of Ursa Major Hall, and on the left is Pu Xian Hall, which is dedicated to Samantabhadra Bodhisattva and is called Mahatma Bodhisattva. The Manjusri Hall on the right is dedicated to Manjusri Bodhisattva, known as the Great Wisdom Bodhisattva. There is a fast food restaurant behind Manjusri Hall, which has all kinds of delicious fast food for tourists to enjoy.

Come out of the main hall, or climb up. Although a little tired, different levels have different realms, and the scenery is wonderful. There is a tall archway in front of us-four characters of "great mercy and great compassion". Looking up, there is an open-air Buddha sitting on the highest mountain in the distance, with a kind face, a smile, starry eyes, a solemn body and a breath penetrating the southern sky.

This is the famous statue of Guanyin Bodhisattva, which is 6 1.9 meters high.

Legend has it that Guanyin Bodhisattva is closely related to Xiqiao Mountain. It once appeared here and saved the suffering of the people here. Later generations built this Guanyin Bodhisattva here for people to worship. Today, it has become the spiritual home of the people of Fiona Fang.

Walking through the archway is a glimpse of the echo wall. On the front, there are six characters inscribed by Zhao Puchu, the former president of the Buddhist Association: "There is no Amitabha in the south". On the back, there is the Tibetan mantra of Guanyin Bodhisattva written by another monk, "Om, Mambemei _", which is also the mantra of Guanyin Bodhisattva.

Xiqiao Town: Xiqiao Town is located in the southwest of Nanhai District, Foshan City, in the hinterland of the Pearl River Delta.
