What does Christ mean?

Christ (Greek χ ιτ ο s, Latin Christos, English Christ) means "anointed person" (when the ancient Jews established kings and priests, they held a ceremony to anoint the head of the sealed person); Hebrew is pronounced messiah. Jesus in the Bible is Christ. Jesus is the son of the living God and is often called "Jesus of Nazareth". More than two thousand years ago, Jesus was born in Bethlehem, Israel. He began to preach the gospel of heaven at the age of thirty. When Pilate was governor, he was crucified. According to the Bible, Christ died and was buried for our sins. According to the Bible, he was resurrected on the third day (1 Corinthians 15:3~4) and appeared to all his disciples. He ascended to heaven on the 40th day after his resurrection and now sits at the right hand of God. He will come again in the future and build a glorious country.
