Lake town geography

Huzhen is located in the middle of Shilin County, southeast of the county. The town government is located in Weize Village, 7 kilometers away from Shilin County/KLOC-0. There are 10 village committees, 3/kloc-0 natural villages and 40 villagers' groups. The town covers an area of 299.62 square kilometers. At the end of 2006, the cultivated land area was 44,547.45 mu, the forest coverage rate was 49.59%, the average altitude was 1.900 m, the annual average temperature was 1.4℃, the annual average rainfall was 809 mm, and the frost period was 1.20- 1.30. The scenery here is rich, flowers bloom all year round, there is no pollution from industrial enterprises, the clouds are light and the wind is clear, it has the reputation of natural "oxygen bar" and has the most suitable climatic conditions for human habitation. With beautiful scenery and outstanding people, the town is the "core area" and "buffer area" of Shilin Scenic Area, a world natural heritage known as "the first wonder in the world". Changhu Scenic Area within its jurisdiction is one of the eight scenic spots in Shilin Scenic Area, with a protection area of 25.28 square kilometers, which is the main route for the expert group to apply for the karst world natural heritage in southern China. On the bank of the long lake, there is a landscape that embodies human landscape and natural scenery-"Dushi Mountain".
