Whenever I go back to my hometown to visit relatives during the Spring Festival, people ask me what my major is. When I say optical communication, they will say: that's for repairing mobile phones! There are even some people who pretend to be profound and say that they are repairing cables! I just laughed and couldn't refute it because I had to explain it to them for a long time. Simply put, we call the base station and transmit the signal to the receiver through the switching equipment. We are researching and producing a series of equipment.

Another major that is most easily misunderstood is logistics. I once joked about this misunderstood major. It was when I was in high school, and a brother who went to college came to my house to play. At that time, I happened to be in the third year of high school, and I was thinking about what to major in college. I asked him what he studied in college. He told me it was logistics. As soon as I heard it, I blurted out: Is it a courier? At that time, he said to me helplessly: of course not, to put it bluntly, it is to manage the delivery of express delivery. I looked embarrassed. Now that I think about it, maybe that brother is often misunderstood and used to it.
