His father, Wu, hurriedly led his family back to the mountains, but was stopped by bandits. After several shots, the eldest Wu Shangxian and the second Wu Fengxian were lying in a pool of blood. Wu and his youngest son, Wu Jixian, were caught by bandits, stripped naked and hacked to death by a pond not far from their house. Wu Huanxian's eldest sister-in-law panicked, holding a nursing child less than half a year old, plunged into the pond and drowned. After Wu Huanxian got the silver dollar, he immediately sent two Red Guards to Tiantai to help Wu Xianen and other injured people. Since then, the story of his "fortune teller" has spread among the masses, saying that he beat a big local tyrant with his bare hands. In the 23rd year of the Republic of China (1934), in May, the 25th Army of the Red Army raided Luotian County and seized more than 7,200 yuan from Hao Menglin, the 54th division of the Kuomintang. Han Xianchu also carried a bag of silver dollars, but when the troops retreated, they met with fierce street fighting. Han Xianchu's silver dollar bag was smashed by bullets, and hundreds of silver dollars were scattered on the ground. Because he lost his silver dollar, Han Xianchu lost his gun and was sentenced to two years of hard labor-carrying a stretcher.
