Creation background

The director of this film was influenced to some extent by the "Tsim Sha Tsui Shooting", and Tsui Po-ko in this case is the prototype of Gao Zhiwei in the film. In the early morning of March 17, 2006, three police officers pulled out their guns and shelled each other in a one-way tunnel in Tsim Sha Tsui, Hong Kong, causing two deaths and one injury. One of the two dead was Tsui Po-ko, an off-duty policeman. The pistol he used at that time was later proved to be the gun of Liang Chengen, a policeman who was killed in March 1 2000, and this gun was suspected to be related to several murders.
