1. Habit controls fate

Buddha said: troubles are hard to break, and habits are even harder to get rid of. Bad habits not only make us suffer for life, but also take away our suicide note. Habit will affect our life, it will become natural and deeply rooted, and become an obstacle to practicing Bodhi. For example, if a person has a bad temper, curses, is used to it, has no popularity, and can't get help in doing things, then the hope of success will naturally decrease. Some people have developed the bad habit of eating, drinking, whoring and gambling, losing everything, separating their wives and children, and ruining their happy lives in their own hands. Some people even cheat and betray their beliefs. As a result, although they cheated for a while, they isolated themselves and made everyone lose confidence in him.

In our sense, "superstition" seems to be the product of the East, but in fact, the West also has their superstitions. There is a popular custom in the west. If today is 13, and it is also Friday, you'd better not go out on business, because 13 is unlucky, and Friday is black Friday. There was a good business to talk about, but because you were superstitious and afraid of bad luck, you lost a good opportunity, a precious opportunity. Speaking of taboo superstition, it is quite common in our society. A strange thing is popular among the people. When a daughter dies, a memorial tablet can be married. An upright young man could have been legally married, but he was supported by a memorial tablet. Superstitious behavior, like the same rope, binds our hands and feet and cannot move. Superstitious behavior is like a dark cloud, which casts a shadow over our lives and prevents us from seeing the light of our own nature. These taboos and superstitions have greatly influenced our fate.

3. Emotion controls fate

As the scripture says, if you don't feel heavy, you won't have a wife. Some people struggle to get the shackles of fame and agility, but they can't get rid of the entanglement of love. Or family, or friendship, or persistent love between men and women, living in a quagmire of pain. To get rid of the bondage of feelings, we should hold the sword of wisdom, embrace an open mind and control feelings instead of being controlled by them.

The so-called wealth and power are more powerful, but the desire for power can easily corrode our innocent nature. The greatest power to control our destiny is karma. The so-called karma is the result of our actions, including what we say in our mouths, what we think in our hearts and what our bodies do. How can the karma that controls our destiny be rewarded? According to classic records, it is reported first by weight, that is, by heavier industries; Or reward habits; Or be rewarded with strong memories. In terms of time, some people are rewarded in this life, some people are rewarded in the afterlife, and some people are rewarded in the afterlife. Like fruit trees, some have been planted for several years before they bear fruit, while others soon bear numerous fruits. No matter one year, two years or even several years, if you want to eat sweet fruits, you must sow them in a down-to-earth manner. Similarly, if we want to enjoy good results, we must plant good karma.

Third, the way to change your destiny

Habits, superstitions, feelings, power, desires and karma can control our destiny, but they are not fixed. Because all habits and even karma are caused by ourselves, as long as we are mindful and cautious, we can still turn our good fate into a better one. So how did fate change? Is there any way to change fate?

1. Ideas can change fate.

After becoming a monk, the Buddha revealed to us the truth that the world is full of pain, and further told us the way to relieve the pain-cultivating the eight right paths. The most important thing in the eight right paths is to establish a correct view, and the other seven right paths have a criterion basis so as not to make mistakes. The so-called correct view is the correct opinion and the correct concept. The establishment of correct concepts has a very important relationship with our personal cultivation, the prosperity and progress of society and the peace and happiness of the world. For example, although Hitler had superhuman intelligence, he lacked correct knowledge. In order to conquer the world, he built many concentration camps and took pleasure in abusing innocent prisoners of war. His personal evil understanding of Jaken not only changed the history of Europe, but also brought terrible disasters and influenced the fate of Germany. Therefore, Buddhism believes that a person's behavior is flawed and there is still a chance to recover; However, if the concept is deviant, the disaster that harms mankind will be even greater and the way to save it will be more difficult.
