Fahai Zen Master is the son of Pei Xiu, a famous figure in Tang Dynasty, whose common name is Pei Wende. His father, Prime Minister Pei Xiu, was born in Pei Village, Jiyuan, Tang Dynasty. Born in a famous family, he served Buddha for generations. Pei Xiu, the prime minister, made an in-depth study of the doctrines of various sects at that time. During the reign of Tang Changqing (82 1-824), he was admitted as a scholar, and served as an envoy of our time, a minister of rites, and a prince Shao Shi. In the sixth year of Dazhong (852), Pei Xiu was promoted to Pingzhang (Prime Minister) in Zhongshu School and lived here for five years. He is an honest official, well governed, knowledgeable and well documented. The New Tang Book and Old Tang Book behind him are biographies for him.

According to the Records of Warning in the late Ming Dynasty, it is said that in the Southern Song Dynasty, a snake demon who practiced for thousands of years in Shaoxing turned into a beautiful woman named Bai Niangzi, and her maid Qing Qing (also known as Xiaoqing, herring and green snake) met Xu Xuan (or), the king of pharmacy, at the West Lake in Hangzhou. They fell in love at first sight through thick and thin. The white snake wanted to have sex with the scholar and married him. So they became husband and wife. After marriage, I have experienced a lot of right and wrong. White snakes are often weird and may not be comparable. The monk of Jinshan Temple in Zhenjiang gave Xu a bowl to cover his wife. The white and blue quilt cover reveals its true colors, and it is a white snake herring that has been taught for thousands of years. Then Fahai took a bowl and put it in front of Leisi Peak, where a seven-level pagoda was built, named Leifeng, and the tower was always white and green [4].

Xu Xian, also known as Xu Xuan, is the hero in the legend of the ancient white snake in China. In early legends, Xu Xian was called "Xi Xuanzan", and later called "Xi Xuanzan" and "Xu Xuan". Feng Menglong was called Xu Xuan in Leifeng Town's White Snake, and was later transformed into Xu Xuan in the process of folklore, and finally became Xu Xian in Qing Dynasty.
