"Bo Culture" in Dingshanba

Dingshanba "Wahuang City Site". According to folklore, during the period of Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty (BC 140), the Bo nationality was one of the eight ethnic minorities. Because the Bo people were active ministers in suppressing the rebellion, Emperor Gaozu Liu Che gave the Bo people's leader Dingshan Dam to establish a vassal state, built and renovated the Lion Mountain in the imperial city, and now there are a pair of sleeping lions in front of the imperial city. Digging down 2 meters from the stone lion 200 meters away, there are fragments of blue tiles everywhere.

Within 2km to the east, west, north and south of the site of Wa Huang City in Dingshanba, there are names such as Jiuzi Temple, Houbang, Duandao Pavilion, Tang Xue, Yangjia Temple, Dazhong Pit, Mating, Malan, Huangling and General Cemetery, which have continued to this day.

Jiuzi Temple (according to legend, the nine sons of Bodi lived in East, South, North, China, Qi, Xin, Xie and Li); "Waiting list" refers to the place where ministers wait for the emperor to summon them; "Duandao Pavilion" is a place where generals and soldiers compete and train. "School" is the place where civil servants live and run schools. "Yangjia Temple" is the place where emperors and ministers discuss and handle affairs. The "mass grave" is the place where the Bo people committed the Bo people's national regulations and killed people. "Horse Stop" and "Horse Stall" are places where officials from civil and military departments go to see the emperor and tie horses. The "Imperial Tombs" and "General Cemetery" are special burial places for emperors, ministers and generals after their death.

These place names have been used to this day and are distributed on both sides of the Dingshanba River. 1973 before the three reforms, Ding Shanhe was in the shape of an "S", which was similar to the Eight Diagrams of Tai Chi Yin and Yang in Diaotaigang. People with geographical knowledge call it the treasure land of "Shuanglong grabbing houses". According to the research of provincial and municipal archaeologists, most of the ancient tombs in Dingshanba are tombs of the Song Dynasty, which are characterized by stone carvings in the Song Dynasty with obvious engravings. marry

Get married. There are three turns and nine turns in rural marriage in our town, seeking eight characters, watching wedding banquets, welcoming relatives, paying homage, toasting, making noise and worshiping.

When the man proposed to the woman, he invited the matchmaker to her house. For the first time, I brought gifts such as sugar and wine to the woman's house to "propose marriage". If the woman agrees, she will go to the man's house with her mother, aunt, sister-in-law and uncle, and the man's house will give her 400 yuan 1200 yuan when she leaves. The second time, with the basic consent, the woman informed the matchmaker to give the man a second gift (sugar and wine), called Xu Qin, and asked the matchmaker to inform the man to prepare a third gift, including several thousand yuan in cash and clothes. After a pair of pigs arrived, the woman's family invited three relatives, six together, to hold a banquet. The room was filled with incense and red candles were shining to celebrate.

When men and women reach the legal age for marriage stipulated by the state, it is convenient for him to find a matchmaker to propose marriage to the woman's family, that is, to ask the woman's date of birth and ask the woman's family for gifts that the man needs when he gets married.

Depending on the wedding date, after the man gets the woman's birthday, he asks the fortune teller to choose the wedding date, and then the matchmaker brings a gift to inform the woman's family of the selected date, so that the woman's family can get ready for the wedding.

Dowry, when the woman gets married, most parents have TV sets, washing machines, refrigerators, electric fans, induction cookers, electric woks, Simmons beds and other bedding.

A wedding means formally marrying the bride. The day before the wedding, the man's family will carry the dowry on a certain number according to the amount of compensation paid by the woman. When the man goes home, he will bring a certain amount of wine, candy and two pieces of "mother meat", wrapped in red paper, and a certain amount of cash. On that day, the woman's family will hold an expanded banquet to entertain three relatives and four friends.

To pay homage to the bride, a mat or pillow is laid in the middle of the man's hall, and red wax and incense are lit above the table to help the bride to the hall. The bride and groom stood in the hall, and the host shouted: "One worships heaven and earth, the other worships the high hall, and the husband and wife bow." The bride and groom knelt down with the shouts and made a series. After the ceremony, the bride and groom ran into the bridal chamber.

In the bridal chamber, a pair of red candles set each other off and there were two glasses of wine on the table. The bride and groom sit on the bed and like to drink.

For gifts, both men and women have gift books at home. The cash records of firecrackers sent by relatives and friends in the man's gift book are different, while the cash, household appliances or bedding sent by relatives and friends in the woman's gift book are recorded.

Please bow, please open the table, and the MC will call you. First please your in-laws, parents, and then your elders, grandfathers, grandmothers and uncles. When you bow down, the worshippers will put in a good word for you and give the bride and groom some lucky money.

It was a noisy night, full of bright lights. Candy, fruit and wedding wine are placed in the bridal chamber. Colleagues, relatives and friends gathered in the bridal chamber and asked the bride and groom questions for fun while drinking until late at night.

As a memorial service, the couple returned to their parents' home the day after the bride and groom got married, and returned to the groom's home after lunch.

Since liberation, the countryside is basically a matchmaker's word. Both parties voluntarily go through the marriage formalities and formally get married after reaching the legal age of the country. The above customs have continued to this day. The cadres and workers of the government are free to fall in love, and the marriage certificate is obtained through traveling or holding a wedding banquet.
