Tathagata: What is Buddhism?

Taoist and Buddhist Works I, Introduction II, Definition III, Hinayana Buddhism IV, Mahayana Buddhism V, Conclusion I, Introduction Buddhism was introduced to China in the Han Dynasty, with a history of two thousand years. In this long period, sometimes it is radiant and brilliant, sometimes it is chaotic and dark, and it is almost cut off. However, despite the three unique cases, the lamp of wisdom can still be extinguished and deeply rooted in the hearts of the people. From aristocrats to civilians, even the three-year-old children and the old people in Huajia know Amitabha or Guanyin Bodhisattva. This shows that the influence of Buddhism on the people has incredible power. In today's era of vigorous development of science, Buddhism has come to an end, and people's beliefs are getting lower and lower. Another generation, such as the descendants of' Huizi ate pork and ruined Buddhism', hung the big sign of Buddhism, but what they did was not the cause of Buddhism, and there were even a group of ignorant people who depended on Buddhist life, as well as stupid women who were superstitious in general. They didn't know the real Buddhism, and they wouldn't be a heresy of Buddhism. For example, Hong Kong people worship God, the goddess in the sky, the land, Chegong and Daxian, as well as fortune telling, divination and so on. They are all regarded as Buddhism, believing that God is Buddha, Buddha is God, and God and Buddha are unique. The land Lord said that the famous land Lord Buddha, Tianhou, Tianhou Bodhisattva. What is the meaning of Buddha? What does Bodhisattva mean? It is simply inexplicable that these evil laws are true stories of Buddhism, so Buddhism has been dealt a great blow invisibly and spurned by the public. Second, the definition of Buddhism 1, Buddha: the general name of Buddha, also known as earth-repairing, Fu Tuo, Fu Tu, Fu Tou, Bo Tuo, Bu Duo and so on. Translated into Chinese, it means awakening or wisdom. Awareness is awareness and consciousness, that is, to perceive all troubles with all wisdom and not be bound by troubles. Moreover, you can be aware and clear about everything in Dharma, as if you woke up in your sleep and realized the realm in your dream, which is actually illusory. Buddha is not only conscious, but also can feel him and feel more complete. Consciously simple is different from ordinary people, who are obsessed with it, but don't feel it; I feel that he is different from the second multiplication. The second multiplication only looks at himself, regardless of others; I feel that perfection is the difference between simplicity and bodhisattva. Although bodhisattva has two kinds of self-sexiness, it is not complete. Therefore, the Buddha has been practicing since the robbery, and has realized all the principles of dharma, not only for himself, but also for all beings to realize themselves. Buddha and everyman are different in height as far as things are concerned; But rationally, there is no difference. Because all living beings have Buddha nature, there is no difference between Buddha's heart and all living beings' heart. Buddha can become Buddha, so can all beings, which is different from Christianity's belief that God is always God and all beings can't be God. He said that God is the creator of the laws of the universe, the creator of God, and everything is created. Buddhism is not like this. Buddha is equal to all beings. As long as you can do what the Buddha did, you can prove what the Buddha proved. Then you are the Buddha, and the reason why all beings can't become a Buddha is because you can't do what the Buddha did and prove what the Buddha proved. Buddha is merciful, saves the world without being born, and will never leave our world, but he is in an evil world, not turned by the evil world law, like a lotus seed in the mud, not stained by the mud. Buddha's heart is like a bright big mirror, and its body is transparent, illuminating all the dharma in the world; However, ordinary people's hearts, such as the big mirror, have caused many layers of dirt, so they can't follow all the laws clearly, so they can't follow the Buddha. Ordinary people need more time to wipe if they want to become Buddhas. Master Shen Xiu said, "Always clean, don't make dust". Dust is wiped clean, dirt is removed, and all wisdom and light are naturally revealed. 2. dharma: dharma is called dharma in Hindi. For example, all objects in the world, tangible, intangible, real and virtual, are collectively called law. In epistemology, the two meanings of "self-sustaining and orbital biological solution" are used to explain the law. In other words, everything has its own self: trees have their own self, flowers have their own self, people have their own self, animals have their own self, and even tangible and intangible ones have their own selves. Moreover, every body that can be held by itself gives the self an unchanging trajectory law. From the beginning, all laws were like this, not created by Buddha or other ghosts and gods. Living beings don't know, but Buddha Sakyamuni realized from the heart, explaining all the hidden laws and all the transcendental laws in the world, so that all living beings can understand. Because these laws were announced by the Buddha himself, they were named Buddhism. Buddha is the speaker, and Dharma is expounded by Buddha. In fact, everything is the same, there is nothing to say, no increase or decrease, no dirt, no one, no right or wrong. All beings are confused, and the Buddha can realize first. If all sentient beings can also prove the truth of all laws, then the Buddha naturally doesn't need to say anything. If you refer to the moon, you should give up your finger if you see it on the moon; If the axe is used to cut down trees, then the axe need not be used to cut down trees. So the size of the twelve parts of Sanzang, as the Buddha said, is multiplied, just like an axe. If you can prove all the laws, there won't be twelve monks. Therefore, although the Buddha said it, it is the same as not saying it. The Buddha said,' If I speak like a raft metaphor, the law should still be abandoned, let alone illegal?' In Sakyamuni itself, there is no conscious statement. It says that it is convenient to take medicine because all beings are sick. If you get rid of the disease, you don't need to take medicine. Therefore, Buddhist listeners are born with all kinds of fundamental differences, so the convenient method is adopted and the size multiplied by two method is applied. The purpose is to hope that the diseases of all beings will be eradicated. Third, Hinayana Buddhism is boundless. The Buddha's wish is the dauntless spirit of "all living beings prove Bodhi" and "whoever goes to hell unless I go to hell". And teach anyone who studies Buddhism to make this big wish. And a group of people with shallow roots in Xiao Zhi are scared and timid, afraid to go forward. Their hope is that "they only care about cleaning the snow in front of their own doors, regardless of the frost on other people's tiles." Seeing such a fundamental person, the Buddha said that the Hinayana teaching method is mainly based on love and greed, with life and death as the cause and nirvana as the end. People have been born and lived in the world since they were born. After several stages of birth, illness and death, it is at most decades of cold and heat. In this short time, there are countless pains. Presumably, the source of this pain is all kinds of troubles such as greed and ignorance. Starting from troubles, doing business, doing business feels bitter. For example, people are suffering from illness, death, love and separation, and can't ask for it. When Hinayana saw all these hardships, knowing that they were all born of ignorance and confusion, he tried to avoid leaving this world, or living in the mountains, or living in the Woods, so that he could not afford to be greedy. He specialized in Zen and kept all the laws in the world, which were impermanent, bitter, empty, egoless and unclean. From the point of view of material body and spiritual mind, we can't find a true, happy, self and pure place through careful appreciation and observation in the course of a life. The body is a combination of cells, such as limbs, five internal organs, six internal organs, nine orifices, skin, bones, nerves and so on. It is just an illusion of harmony between all elements. From birth to death, it changes rapidly and is fleeting. If you don't live now and the future is not here, you can't find a real permanent residence. Mentally, people in the world mainly want material enjoyment. In order to get spiritual happiness, they pursue five desires every day-wealth, fame, food and sleep. It is either joy or jealousy, and the karma created is either good or evil. Doing good feels good in the future, and doing bad feels bad in the future. As you sow, you reap, which is a certain law. Therefore, life and death continue, forever rotating in the six paths. Hinayana is free from life and death, so starting from the five desires, the root of the five desires is greed for love. Life is both direct and indirect, and inner desire is nothing more than acquisition. If you don't get it, you will be greedy, and greed will give birth to love. It can be said that you are always addicted to greed and love. Be angry when you are greedy; If love suddenly loses, infatuation will increase. Therefore, greed for love is the source of trouble. If greed and love are cut off, all troubles will be cut off, and Bodhi will appear. Therefore, the purpose of Hinayana's seclusion practice is to focus on leaving greed, saving life and death, and proving Bodhi. Fourth, Mahayana Buddhist practitioners are unwilling to be themselves. He wants to free all sentient beings. He saw countless sentient beings suffering in the three realms (lust, lust and colorless) every day, so he had great bodhicitta, pity him, save him and enjoy him. In the spirit of China's entry into WTO, I have studied six methods of giving, keeping precepts, enduring humiliation, diligence, meditation and wisdom-taking four photos-giving, loving words, benefiting deeds and colleagues. Suffering sentient beings means suffering themselves, and suffering sentient beings means suffering themselves. I don't want to be myself, and I don't want to be separated from the crowd, but I want to achieve all beings. So Mahayana Buddhism conforms to the world and adapts to the world. Because all beings have different roots and different desires. People who practice Mahayana Buddhism must have various convenient and ingenious methods. Their main practice is not to teach, reason, conduct and result. (1) Teaching: Emphasis is placed on the language in the Sanzang, including law and meaning, argumentation, etc. Words are used to express righteousness. Depending on the difference between name and appearance, people turn from confusion to consciousness, from ordinary to sacred, from pollution to purity, from pain to happiness. Such as San Lun Zong, Hua Yan Zong, Tiantai Zong and Prajna Zong. (2) Rationality: Rationality is a kind of teaching without apocryphalism, without words. It is based on understanding the true nature of one heart, taking the inability to practice as the law and taking the heart as the purpose. The so-called point to the source of the heart, see the Buddha. For example, Zen in China. (3) OK: It is to pay attention to starting from rationality, such as people boarding the ship, from one shore to the other, step by step. Another example is climbing a mountain, climbing from a low place to a high place step by step, not paying attention to the theory of doctrine, but paying attention to implementation, such as the practice of Buddhism and Pure Land Sect. (4) Results: Reasoning is mysterious and the obtained effect is substantial. Rely on the wisdom of Buddha's fruit and the perfect body soil, and then bless the body soil where you live now. As a method of educating all beings, this method is divorced from words and understanding, and only faith can be effective, such as the mantra-holding method of Tantric Sect and the Buddhist chanting method of Pure Land Sect. Mahayana Buddhism cannot be understood by ordinary people, and it can only be understood if it reaches the status of Buddha and Bodhisattva. Mahayana Buddhism not only transcends the world, but also adapts to it. The so-called' Buddhism is in the world and does not leave the world. Looking for bodhi after death is like looking for the horn of a rabbit. Most people don't understand the general idea of Buddhism, thinking that Buddhism is passive and divorced from the crowd. I don't know the difference between Buddhism and size, but it depends on where you start. V. Conclusion In short, the purpose of Buddhism interpretation is to see the confusion of all sentient beings and practice all methods of Buddhism, so I left the throne, broke my five desires, became a monk, learned the truth, proved the supreme bodhi, learned all the realities of Buddhism, showed great compassion and measured all sentient beings. Because their roots are different, I say that sizes are multiplied in various wonderful ways. At present, most people who study Buddhism in society are blind and superstitious and don't know the general idea of Buddhism. Especially a group of Zhai Gong Zhai Po, when you ask them the purpose of believing in Buddhism, how the Buddha explains it, and what are the benefits of believing in Buddhism, they are puzzled. They only replied that they wanted to seek children, grandchildren, wealth, peace and love between husband and wife. Although the Buddha is merciful to all these prayers and may meet the demands of all beings, the true meaning of Buddhism is not here. People nowadays don't know the truth of Buddhism, but think that Buddhism is superstitious, unreasonable and passive. From the standpoint of Buddhists, we don't agree with all these statements, but we can't blame people in society for their contempt for Buddhism, because Buddhists themselves failed to promote Buddhism to the social crowd and let the people benefit from it. In addition, some fake sangha can't understand the Buddha's teaching method, so how can real Buddhism be promoted to the society? Therefore, the responsibility for the prosperity of Buddhism and the respect of the people lies in our own efforts!
