Qingyun temple daxiong hall

Go out of the King's Hall, cross Danyong, and go upstairs along the central passage to the north, which is the Hall of Ursa Major. The main hall was rebuilt in the late Ming and early Qing dynasties, with a simple and solemn structure and a single eaves, which has a history of more than 300 years. The four characters of "Hall of Great Heroes" in the temple and two couplets in the temple were written by celebrities. The middle couplet was written by the late monk Master Mingshan. "The National Day coincides with Anqing's forty years of good weather and three thousand towers are empty." This couplet cleverly hides the name of Qingyun Temple and depicts the unique landscape of Qingyun Temple. Exquisite calligraphy, the pen is full of dragons and snakes, and the talents of eminent monks are all in it. On both sides is a calligraphy inscribed by Professor Chen Zhongming, Taixing calligrapher and director of the Calligraphy Teaching and Research Section of the Fine Arts Department of Nanjing Normal University, which is very profound.

The center of the hall is dedicated to Buddha Sakyamuni, and the east on both sides is the pharmacist Buddha, that is, the pharmacist glass Buddha, also known as the great doctor king; In the west, it is Amitabha Buddha, also known as "Infinite Life Buddha" and "Infinite Light Buddha". The three giant buddhas are serene and radiant. The Ba Dou caisson in the center of the main hall is extremely rare in the caisson style of China classical architecture, which is of great architectural research value.

Eighteen arhats are enshrined on both sides of the hall. They are happy or angry, sad or cautious, with different expressions and interesting. Behind the three giant buddhas is the Guanyin sculpture on the island. Guanyin Bodhisattva in the South China Sea holds a bottle of pure willow and steps on her head. The knowledge of many good boys and girls is distributed all over the island, which is like a kind of life and a grand view.
