The story of Liu Sanjie and Yufeng Mountain
Sanjie Liu is a fairy in the sky. According to legend, in the Tang Dynasty, there was a beautiful mountain village on the east bank of Tiandong at the junction of Luocheng and Yishan. In this village, there is a Zhuang girl named Liu Sanjie. When she was a child, her parents died and she was raised by her brother Liu Er. The two brothers and sisters depend on firewood and fishing for a living. Third sister is hardworking and clever, skilled in spinning and weaving, and looks like a hibiscus in water, with unparalleled appearance. Sanjie Liu likes singing folk songs. Her folk songs are famous far and near, so singers from far and near often gather in her village to compete with her in singing and learning songs.
Sanjie Liu has a kind heart and hates evil, but she is a weak woman and can't help. So Sanjie Liu saw some unfair things, so she sang the voices and grievances of the poor with folk songs. She often offends local tyrants and evil gentry for this. There was a local rich man named Mo Huairen, who oppressed the people and coveted their beauty, and wanted to be his concubine. She refused and laughed at him. Mo Huairen is notorious, so Mo Huairen hates Liu Sanjie's guts.
Mo Huairen tried to ban songs, but was refuted by Liu Sanjie with folk songs. He invited three scholars to sing with Sanjie Liu, but Sanjie Liu and others made a fool of themselves and came back with a big defeat. Mo Huairen became angry from embarrassment, and did not hesitate to spend money to collude with the government, biting Ya's teeth and killing her. In order to avoid being killed, Third Sister, with the help of all the villagers, wiped her younger brother clean, boarded a bamboo raft in the dark, went down the Tianhe River to Longjiang River, and then went to Liuzhou, where she lived in a small cave at the east foot of Li Yufeng on the edge of Xiaolongtan Village.
After coming to Liuzhou, Liu Er, the honest brother of Third Sister, was afraid that Third Sister would sing again and make trouble again, and tried to stop it. One day, he picked up a round and thick pebble from the river and threw it to Third Sister. He said, "Third Sister, drill a hole in the middle of the stone with the corner of your handkerchief and put it in! If you don't wear it, you are not allowed to go out to sing! " Then, with a livid face, he added slowly, "Don't say anything for my brother, don't joke." Third sister looked at her brother's face sadly. How dare she argue as usual? She picked up the stone thrown in front of her and thought, "I'm not a fairy." How can I wear a handkerchief horn? " Unconsciously, she tried it on and sang, my brother is crazy. Put a stone on my sister. How can a soft cloth wear a stone? Except that the otherworldly sister became a fairy! "
"No matter you are mortal or immortal, you will never change your words for your brother!" My brother seems to have suffered ― he is determined not to let her sing.
Unexpectedly, the sad and euphemistic song of Third Sister reached the ears of the Seven Fairies in the Heavenly Palace. The Seventh Fairy was so moved that she was afraid that Third Sister's song would be lost, so she cast a spell, took a hair clasp from her hair, shook her sleeves, and shot at the stone in Third Sister Liu's hand on the ground, sticking a round hole in the stone. Third sister accidentally saw the handkerchief pass through the stone, and her heart exulted. Zhang let go of her sweet voice: "Hey ... wear it, gentle and happy, singing like running water, with a long history!" "Since then, Sanjie Liu's singing has been lingering back to the top of Yufeng Mountain and the treetops, and the duet that came here to learn songs has been constant.
Later, the trace of Third Sister Liuzhou was detected by Mo Huairen. He also bribed the government with a large sum of money and sent many officers and men to surround Mo Lifeng Peak. The threat came, asking the villagers to hand over their third sister, or they would be killed. The third sister could not bear to let the villagers bleed and was implicated, so she resolutely jumped into Xiaolongtan.
Just as Sanjie Liu was jumping, the wind suddenly blew and it was dark. With a red light, a big golden carp rushed out of the small Longtan, carrying Third Sister to the sky. In this way, Sanjie Liu rode a fish to heaven and became a fairy in the Heavenly Palace. Her folk songs are still handed down from generation to generation. In order to commemorate her achievements in singing in Liuzhou, people carved a stone statue for her in Sanjieyan, which stood in the fish peak and has been enshrined.
