Therefore, it suddenly dawned on me that Taoist priests are deceptive things-can they cultivate immortals? Can ordinary people do it? Who can become an immortal is simply a delusion. Which Taoist refined the elixir of life? Everything is cheating, even those who are considered ignorant by the ruled know that it is an unpredictable and even unattainable thing. Buddhism can help people cultivate their own self-cultivation. Although there are superstitious things in it, at least it can give people a kind of spiritual sustenance and promote a kind of kindness and selflessness. Whether the people understand it or not, they can at least get in touch with and get some liberation. Taoism can't satisfy this extravagant hope of ordinary people. Because of the hardships of life and a desire for the future, ordinary people also like to calculate eight characters. But the monks in the temple will also draw lots to calculate. Then there will be reincarnation theory to save a life that might have completely lost confidence in life. This is why Buddhism has a long-term foothold among the people, right? Taoism seems only to serve the rulers, and seems only to care for the upper class (this may be my misunderstanding or prejudice). It does not give you confidence in life, but only implies whether you have the value of existence. And people often don't know where the value of their existence lies. I often feel that I am too small to exist, not to mention how unattainable it is to cultivate immortality. In fact, Taoism is just a sect, just like Buddhism. Taoist priests can live well in the world if they can truly carry forward and popularize the essence of Taoism instead of using crooked ways. Tao is a philosophy. Although Buddhism is not as good as Taoist philosophy, it captures people's hearts with a kind of good thought and controls the return of mankind.
