Hainan dialect: Hainan dialect in a narrow sense belongs to Minnan language of Sino-Tibetan language family. Hainan dialect is spoken by more than 5 million residents in the province, mainly in Haikou, Qiongshan, Wenchang, Qionghai, Wanning, Ding 'an, Tunchang and Chengmai, and in the coastal areas of Lingshui, Ledong, Dongfang, Changjiang and Sanya. Generally speaking, the pronunciation of Wenchang people is a standard accent.

Li dialect: It belongs to the Zhuang and Dong language family of Sino-Tibetan language family, and there are five dialects, including local dialect, Mobil dialect and Jiamao dialect. Li people in the province use it, mainly distributed in Qiongzhong, Baoting, Lingshui, Baisha, Dongfang, Ledong, Changjiang Autonomous County, Sanya and Tongshi.

Lingao Dialect: It belongs to Zhuang-Dai branch of Zhuang-Dong language family of Sino-Tibetan language family, close to Zhuang language. About 500 thousand residents use it, mainly distributed in Lingao County and the western suburbs of Haikou, such as Changliu, Rongshan, Xinhai and Xiuying.

Danzhou dialect: It belongs to the Cantonese dialect system of Sino-Tibetan language family. More than 400,000 people use it, mainly distributed in Danzhou coastal, Changjiang, Dongfang and other cities and counties.

Military dialect: It belongs to the southwest official dialect of northern dialect in China, a Sino-Tibetan language family. It is the language left by soldiers and officials who came to Hainan Island from the mainland in ancient times. More than 654.38+million people use it, mainly distributed in some areas of Changjiang County, Dongfang City, Danzhou City and Sanya City.

Miao language: It belongs to the Miao language branch of Miao Yao language family of Sino-Tibetan language family. It is mainly used by a small number of about 50 thousand Miao residents in cities and counties in central and southern China and other counties.

Village dialect: it belongs to Zhuang language and Dong language of Sino-Tibetan language family. About 60 thousand people use it, mainly distributed in Dongfang City and the lower reaches of Changhua River in Changjiang County.

Hui language: It is spoken by about 6,000 Hui residents, mainly distributed in Hui Hui and Huixin Village in Sanya, and also spoken by a few residents in Baisha County and Wanning City.

Mai dialect: It belongs to Cantonese dialect system and is close to Guangzhou dialect. It is a language used by Han people, but it is not widely used. At present, it is only used by residents in Yacheng and Shuinan areas in the suburbs of Sanya.

Jiadan dialect: It belongs to Cantonese. Only used by Han residents near Sanya Port.

In addition, fishermen in coastal areas such as Sanya City and Lingshui County use boat dialect, while workers in ports, railways, mines and state-owned farms use vernacular, Hakka, Chaozhou, Zhejiang, Yunnan and Fujian dialects.
