Xie zai

Xie, also known as Shi (also known as Niu) is located in the southeast of Gaozhou City, which is the boundary ridge between Sishui Town and Jinshan Street. But thanks are not too high.

Located on the plain, it has the spirit of Mount Tai, and other mountains are dwarfed under the sky. , especially the grandeur of Xie. Xieniuling virgin forest has dense vegetation and good protection. There are towering old trees in the forest, famous flowers and trees abound, and strange rocks can be seen everywhere, with realistic shapes. There are cliffs more than 100 meters high in the east that rest Niu Ling, Tianhou Temple, a thousand-year-old temple in the south, and many spring caves in the west and north. Woye, the plain around Niu Ling, is one of the main agricultural producing areas in Gaozhou. The origin of Xie's name

According to legend, in ancient times, Xie was a plain, but there was no river to pass through and the land was dry. Therefore, Tianhou Niangniang trained a magical cow with infinite strength to help the local people set gates to store water in six places, and plowed out four rivers to meet here. Since then, there are abundant water resources and fertile land, and people live and work in peace and contentment. This place was also renamed Surabaya. The god cow plowed the canal to control the water, which benefited one side and was allowed by the jade emperor to ascend to heaven and become immortal. Just as the cow bowed her head and drank the river, she suddenly received the order to ascend to heaven, leaving her trunk on the mountain peak, like a cow holding her neck to drink water. The local people thanked the God Niu Ende, named the mountain "Xie Niuling" and built the Tianhou Palace at the foot of the mountain to commemorate the Queen of Heaven.

Liuzha, Xiesishui

The couplets "Drought (later renamed)", "Dry Land", "Yellow Cave", "Dujian", "Liuzha", "Tang Xian", "Xieniu" and "Surabaya" are all local place names. Later, a place name named Dalian appeared in this area, so this couplet was changed to:

In arid and dry fields, the Yellow River looks across the stream.

The six gates of Surabaya, Tang Xian began to unite.
