Many people may have heard of Lin, especially her multiple versions of love history, and they relish it. It is a great pity that we know little about the real forests in history.

A glimpse of life: the sadness created by ideals

Lin was born in a scholarly family, with a prominent family background, talented people and a well-off family. I traveled to Europe with my father in my early years and was deeply influenced by London architecture, so I decided to do it. After studying in Europe with Liang Sicheng, he learned architecture systematically and gained a lot. 1928 returned from school in August, and was employed by the Department of Architecture of Northeastern University, devoted to architectural research in China. In other words, architecture is the ideal of Lin's life.

In fifteen years, Lin and Liang Sicheng visited more than 100 counties in China and made an in-depth investigation of China architecture. It was during Japan's invasion of China that conditions were difficult and materials were scarce. For a rich girl who grew up in a pleasant environment, it is not difficult to understand being displaced. Of course, great achievements have been made in architecture, such as National Catalogue of Cultural Relics and Ancient Buildings, Architecture and Literature, Garden Architecture Art, Some Features of China Architecture, Miscellaneous Notes on Boxer Architecture, and Investigation of Golden Powder Ancient Buildings. The oldest wooden structure building in China was even found in Wutai Mountain area.

It can be said that Lin, a talented woman, left a deep impression in the history of architecture. At that time, she endured many unimaginable hardships and devoted herself to architecture, but little was known.

This is the sadness brought by the pursuit of ideals: hardship, no stable life.

Second, the reputation stain: the obscenity of future generations

Of course, Lin is a gifted scholar and a beautiful woman. She has aura and talent, and she is outstanding in poetry and prose. At the same time, however, rumors of an affair are pouring in. Especially in terms of feelings and handling affairs, there have been rumors of three things:

With Xu zhimo ambiguous:

Xu Zhimo is the favorite pupil of Liang Qichao, the father of Lin's husband Liang Sicheng. Xu Zhimo is an affectionate poet. He had an affair with Lin in his early years. Even when Liang Sicheng and Lin were studying in Europe, they had contacts. Liang Qichao even wrote a letter to beat about the bush to persuade them. But who knows the details of this ambiguity?

If nothing else, aside from Xu Zhimo's talent, we can only talk about how irresponsible Xu Zhimo is in treating feelings-abandoning Zhang Youyi, the wife of a virtuous woman, Lin, a woman in an ambiguous new era, and the romantic debt of Lu Xiaoman, a fallen woman in courtship. As for personality, he will not discuss it.

In fact, the divorce between Xu Zhimo and Lin is true, but who is Xu Zhimo who abandoned more than one wife and loved one after another? In fact, Lin listened to his father from the beginning and rejected Xu Zhimo.

But I have to say that the ambiguity with Lin is Lin's credit, and he suffered a lot.

Jin Yuan was a neighbor of Liang Qichao and Lin, and they had an excellent relationship. Liang Sicheng is obsessed with academics, and Jin is very kind to Lin. Many books and rumors have said such a thing: Lin confessed to Liang Sicheng-she fell in love with both Jin and Liang Sicheng, and she didn't know how to decide. Liang Sicheng gave her understanding and let her choose freely. He respects Lin's decision.

In fact, for Kim, it may be a long time, but for Lin, it is just a long-term love. After all, he didn't always love Lin. He has several girlfriends, domestic and foreign, but he just doesn't get married.

Nevertheless, Kim was very ashamed when he learned about it. Since then, the two families have stopped in Jin Lan.

Because of this incident, later generations criticized Lin and said all kinds of ugly things. But when you think about it, Liang Sicheng is very calm in the face of his wife who is emotionally derailed, and even gives an understanding. Is this really a lover's reaction?

And bing Xin's tear:

As a talented woman in the same period, Bing Xin is not as good as Lin in terms of artistic attainments and face value, so jealousy is inevitable. In fact, we only know one thing, but we don't know another: Bing Xin's husband Wu Wenzao (social activist and anthropologist) and Liang Sicheng are classmates and roommates. Lin is beautiful and talented, but Bing Xin is not. As we all know, Bing Xin's fame actually has the opportunity of the times. As far as literature is concerned, Bing Xin's poetry and artistic achievements are average. As far as children's literature is concerned, only a few people were immersed in it at that time. Objectively speaking, Bing Xin's level may be similar to that of excellent college students now, but compared with Lin, who was born in a scholarly family, it is absolutely incomparable, so she is a little jealous. As a result, Ta Kung Pao published the literary salon often held by the Lins, satirizing Lin's petty bourgeoisie. Ta Kung Pao was famous at that time, which was equivalent to Weibo's swearing. However, Lin didn't say anything, went to Shaanxi for an inspection, and came back to give Bing Xin an altar of vinegar. It is said that Bingxin was bombed at that time, and the problem was solved when vinegar was poured.

Therefore, it is not enough to tear up this matter with Bing Xin because of Grandma Xie's intention. Lin doesn't eat human fireworks, and an altar of vinegar shows a lot of things.

But it is these things that people know little about. To get to the bottom of it, of course, there is more room for imagination, and more and more people are obsessed with sex. Lin's reputation is not so good in everyone's saliva.

Third, marital feelings: future generations flogging the body.

Although he had an affair with Xu Zhimo, and played a side ball with Jin, Lin finally married Liang Sicheng and died. However, this seemingly beautiful marriage made Lin emotionally flogged by her husband and relatives.

Lin is so famous now because of two people:

Liang Sicheng's second wife is also Lin's distant niece. Lin Hui thought Lin Shu was very talented, but her family was in a bad situation, so she took her to her own home and recommended this student to her husband. Later, Lin Shu married a teacher who was more than thirty years older than her. Of course, this is another story. Zhu Lin's first husband was Cheng Yingquan, an architectural genius and Tsinghua University scholar. They met and got married in Tsinghua campus, and they had a son and a daughter after marriage. I have to say, judging from Zhu Lin's various practices, he is undoubtedly an out-and-out utilitarian.

This is mainly reflected in two aspects:

First, the marriage with Cheng Yingquan.

Cheng Yingquan should be an outstanding and honest architectural scholar. At that time, Cheng Yingquan was criticized for opposing the "Party's urban construction line" because he put forward the viewpoint of protecting ancient buildings and criticized Beijing's relevant architectural policies. Zhu Lin immediately drew a line with her husband, divorced him immediately, and did not allow Cheng Yingquan to visit her children.

Talking about this marriage, Cheng Yingquan later said: I think there are two things that make Zhu Lin feel very good. First, 1956 visited Polish and other Eastern European countries as a member of the delegation of China architects. At that time, as the wife of a young architect, Zhu Lin felt very beautiful. Another thing is that he translated a very good book and got a lot of money.

Zhu Lin later shamelessly said that if he could solve the problem within two years and get rid of the label of "Rightists", they might still remarry.

Second, discredit Lin and fabricate biographies for fame and fortune.

It is such a woman who entered the data management room of Tsinghua University by the glory of Cheng Yingquan at that time, but turned out to be so cruel to her husband Cheng Yingquan. Later, he married Liang Sicheng, and based on Liang Sicheng, Lin and himself, he made up many things out of thin air and wrote a book "Liang Sicheng, Lin and I", which provided the public with the possibility of peeping into Lin's life, and he suddenly became famous by Lin. Since then, various interviewers and media have been in an endless stream, earning both fame and fortune.

At the same time, it also recruited many blacks for Lin.

Zhu Lin, a person with poor academic ability, has a strong utilitarian heart all his life, giving Liang Sicheng many false stories and drawing wrong pictures.

Vernacular Merlin was not so popular then, but once again, it was because Vernacular Mei wrote a biography of Lin based on Lin Shu's memoirs about Lin and a lot of content she conceived-"You are an April Day on Earth".

Bai Laimei's writing style is really good at phrasing words and sentences, with elegant artistic conception and peaceful writing style. However, her content is useless except writing. A lot of content is empty. She writes a biography based on Lin. Take You Are April Day as an example. It is said that this is a love letter to Xu Zhimo, but in fact it is a letter from Lin to his eldest son.

But it was with plum blossom that Lin got angry. In addition to making them successful, Lin's feelings were greatly modified by these two people, mercilessly flogging their bodies.

Fourth, summary: a sad life

Speaking of Liang Sicheng, his wife Lin married his student and his wife's niece before her bones were cold. There were rumors that Lin Shu worshipped Liang and often went to Liang, but Lin didn't care.

Lin is not stupid. Who is Xu Zhimo? There is no justice between Lu Xiaoman and Zhang Youyi; From the practice behind, it seems that Liang Sicheng is a backwater and Linda is a beauty. Can she not be sad?

What's more, Lin, as a high-ranking official's son and a young man studying abroad, could have lived a poetic life, escaped war abroad, stayed away from water and enjoyed the treatment of a rich woman. However, she stayed in the war-torn country, traveled all over the country, visited the old eaves, separated her children, reclaimed land and stood on her own feet, always ready to die for her country, left the city wall for life, fell ill for life, left a sketch, and died in her fifties.

And later generations were whipped by nieces and later speculators because of their love life. Everyone knows how many boyfriends she has and what kind of things have happened with who. However, I don't know that her contribution in the history of architecture is much greater than that of Liang Zai. I didn't know that her letter to her son was "The enemy has entered, and the river is behind the house."

Why not be sad?
