Huangmiao in Xingtai

In Huangmiao Town, 40 miles northwest of Xingtai City, there is a Buddhist shrine with a long history, which is the famous Huangmiao. In 2002, Master Jing Hui, a famous monk in China and vice president of the Chinese Buddhist Association, led many monks to stay in the temple. Under the auspices of Master Jinghui, the Yellow Temple, a thousand-year-old temple, ushered in the most glorious period in history.

Huang Temple, formerly known as yuquan temple, has an unknown origin. There is a famous legend about why the temple was renamed from yuquan temple to Huangsi.

According to legend, in the Yuan Dynasty, Yuan Shundi was chased by Zhu Hongwu. When I ran near yuquan temple, I was cornered and hid in a corner of a nearby ravine. Zhu Hongwu chased him here, but he lost Yuan Shundi. At this time, his troops were exhausted, so they went to yuquan temple to stop fighting and feed their horses.

From then on, people called this temple Huangmiao, and the yuquan temple village where this temple is located was renamed Huangmiao Town.

According to the Records of Xingtai County, the Huangmiao Temple was built in the Dading period, and there is still a historical building about the Huangmiao Temple in the temple.
