Buddha statues and scriptures cannot be damaged, but they must be repaired. It used to be like this, and it will be like this in the past. Why? There was no printing before, let alone color printing. In the past, except for the Buddha statue, all the old Buddha statues were restored with gold. Because of the heavy workload and high cost of shaping a Buddha statue, it needs to be maintained and supported as usual. The same is true of colored paintings. Find a painter to draw a good Buddha statue, which is also of high value, so it can hold up after it is broken. Now that science has advanced and printing technology has developed, the old Buddha statue you provided has been given away and no one wants it. There are too many new ones, and the more refined, the better. If you don't like your old Buddha statue, will others like it? That's impossible.

The most important way to repent is not to recreate it in the future. This is called true repentance, not to say that you will definitely do it if you repent. If you don't do what you did before you studied Buddhism, you will be ignorant. Now you understand that it will never be rebuilt. This is called true confession. It is right to concentrate on Buddhism and live in pure land. Don't have these doubts in your heart These doubts are your obstacles and destroy your pure heart.

In this world, which one doesn't do evil? The Buddha told us that the karma of sin is not afraid. As long as we sincerely repent, the karma will be eliminated. China proverbs often say that "at the beginning of life, human nature is good", but his incompetence is caused by troubles and habits, and human nature is pure, so as long as he is willing to turn back, put down all his troubles and habits, and put down all his evil deeds, he is a good man, and Buddhism often says that "turning back to the shore".
