He lost his father in his early years, twice lost his husband and children, and once became a nun. This was the bumpy life of Chiang Kai-shek's biological mother.

Wang Caiyu, the mother of Chiang Kai-shek, had a very bumpy life experience. She lost her father in her early years, because her brother failed to live up to expectations, and she supported her family alone. After marriage, she experienced the pain of losing her son and husband and became a nun in despair. Later, her cousin advised her to be secular and remarried to Chiang Kai-shek. She gave birth to two sons and two daughters, the eldest of whom was Jiang Ruiyuan (namely Chiang Kai-shek). However, after a short period of happiness, she experienced the pain of losing her husband, children and daughter. Wang Caiyu was not defeated by the death of her husband and the premature death of her children this time, but carefully cultivated her eldest son. However, she died before Chiang Kai-shek made his fortune.

Wang Caiyu, formerly known as Wang Caiyu, was born in Zhuge Village, Shengxian County, Zhejiang Province in the second year of Tongzhi (1863). His father, You Zhe, is familiar with poetry and smart. He used to sell local products as a profession, and then gathered refugees in southern Anhui and western Zhejiang to reclaim the wasteland abandoned by the war and get rich. Wang Caiyu's mother Yao Shi is Wang Youze's second wife. They have a daughter and two sons. The daughter's name is Wang Caiyu.

In the eighth year of Guangxu (1882), Wang Caiyu's father Wang Youze died. Because he used to have three sons and a daughter in the Yao family, and the two families were separated. Because Wang Xianju, the eldest brother, is addicted to gambling, and Wang Xianyu, the younger brother, suffers from mental illness. Although Wang Caiyu, who was taught by his father since childhood, is very smart and relies on sewing subsidies to make up for her family, it is still getting more and more difficult at home.

Later, he married Zhu who lived in Caojiatian, a rural area. Although Zhu is impatient, and the couple often quarrel and even beat and scold because of some trivial matters, on the whole, he still gets along well. In the early spring of the following year, Zhu gave birth to a son. Both husband and wife are very happy, and their relationship has improved a lot. However, they don't want their children to die just a few months after their birth because of sudden illness without timely treatment.

Shortly after his son died, cholera began to ravage Cao Jiatian, and many people, including Zhu, died. Wang Caiyu suffered from bereavement one after another and was depressed. As a result, neighbors gossiped about him behind his back, which made his spirit even more devastated. In desperation, Wang Caiyu had to hide back to her family.

After living in her parents' home for a period of time, her mother heard that an old nun in nearby Zhu Jin died of illness, so she believed in Buddhism and took Wang Caiyu to help arrange the funeral. But I don't want to. Wang Caiyu, who was already disheartened, had the idea of escaping into an empty net. Afterwards, she asked Shoushi to practice here. Shoushi heard what happened to her and agreed.

Although Yao's mother believes in Buddhism, she doesn't want her daughter, who is only in her early twenties, to escape into an empty net all her life and become an ancient Buddha. Therefore, she is very opposed to Wang Caiyu becoming a monk. Although it was later seen that she had made up her mind, Yao reluctantly agreed to let her daughter practice in buddhist nun, but only allowed her to practice with her hair and resolutely prohibited her from shaving it.

In Wang Caiyu, I ate meager food every day, recited scriptures and worshipped Buddha, and gradually forgot my painful experience. It was a big occasion in Jin Zhuan's life. One day, her cousin Wang Xiandong came to Zhu Jin. During her visit to Wang Caiyu, she mentioned secularization and remarriage. Wang Caiyu, who didn't know how to answer, said, "This matter needs to be discussed with her mother."

Then, Wang Xiandong found Wang Caiyu's mother Yao Shi. Yao Shi didn't let her daughter shave her head because she had the idea of letting her daughter remarry in the future. So, after asking Wang Xiandong about the man's situation, Yao immediately agreed to this matter.

The person mentioned by Wang Xiandong is none other than his own boss, Jiang, who runs Yutai Salt Shop. This ginger is very clever. In his early twenties, he took over Yutai salt shop, money house and other industries from his father. Because of his good management, he soon became one of the top ten richest people in Xikou Town.

Wang Xiandong is an old buddy of Yutai Salt Shop. He is in charge of store affairs and accounts and is deeply trusted by Jiang. Seeing that Jiang lamented every day after his wife's death, he planned to fix a marriage for him. Later, he thought that his cousin, Wang Caiyu, was also a single-handed man, and had a hard time, so he went to make peace.

With the help of Wang Xiandong, in June of the 12th year of Guangxu (1886), at the age of 23, she remarried and became Jiang's second wife. Although Jiangbi is 22 years older, they are extremely loving after marriage. The following year, Wang Caiyu gave birth to his eldest son Jiang Ruiyuan (namely Chiang Kai-shek), and three years later gave birth to his daughter Jiang Ruilian, his second daughter Jiang Ruiju and his second son Jiang Ruiqing.

At that time, Jiang, known as the "dock eel" (referring to his high business skills, it is difficult for others to take advantage of it), managed his business and lived a very enjoyable life diligently. Because his family is rich, Wang Caiyu can even help his mother and brother from time to time.

However, a happy life is always short. Only eight or nine years after remarriage, Wang Caiyu suffered a series of blows again. First, her father-in-law Jiang died in Guangxu for twenty years (1894), and then her husband Jiang died the following summer. More unfortunately, her second daughter Jiang Ruiju and her second son Jiang Ruiqing also died in the following years.

According to Chiang Kai-shek's description in A Brief History of Mrs. Wang, her mother is undoubtedly a very traditional and kind woman. Not only did she treat a pair of children born to her ex-wife as strangers before her death, but when her stepson Jiang asked for separation despite her husband's dying entrustment, she did not favor one over the other because she was not her own, but sprinkled the most powerful salt and neighboring salt.

While being traditional and kind, Wang Caiyu is also very powerful. After a series of blows, she did not feel depressed, but began to train her children wholeheartedly, especially her son Jiang Ruiyuan. After learning that someone in her family was teaching in a private school at the Wangs ancestral hall, she sent Jiang Ruiyuan, who was quite naughty at that time, to study, hoping that he would change his stubbornness.

However, before the news of his son's academic achievements came, the first news was that his son was going to marry his cousin Mao Achun. Despite his reluctance, he still asked someone to propose to Mao's family, but the result was rejected by Jiang Saifeng, Jiang's cousin. Embarrassed, he vowed to find a good daughter-in-law for his son, so he found Mao Dinghe, a family friend of Jiang, married his second daughter Mao to his son, and then sent Mao to a girls' school in the county, hoping that his daughter-in-law would marry her husband in the future.

In the thirty-second year of Guangxu (1906), in order to raise money, the Qing government distributed the unpaid land tax to Jiashou (the richest man) and Zhonghu, who handed it in. The Chiang family is also one of the apportionment targets. As a result, with the collusion of local officials and rich households, the Chiang family, which has fallen into poverty, has become the main target of exploitation. Although Wang Caiyu, who was unable to pay the money, argued that the government bullied his orphans and widows, put 19-year-old Jiang Ruiyuan in prison and forced Wang Caiyu to pay the money.

Wang Caiyu was angry with corrupt officials, and took this opportunity to encourage his son to make progress and stop humiliating his family. Jiang Ruiyuan just stopped. Soon, under the influence of the anti-Qing movement in various places, Jiang Ruiyuan went to braid his hair and decided to go abroad to study military affairs. At that time, many relatives and friends thought it was a rebellion against the imperial court, but Wang Caiyu thought it was a move to get ahead, so he decided to raise money for his son.

After that, Jiang Ruiyuan entered Baoding Army Accelerated School for training according to the requirement that studying in Japan should be selected and reported by his own school, and then went to Japan to enter Zhenwu School. Soon after, he joined the League and began to take part in the revolutionary movement.

In the autumn of Xuantong three years (19 1 1), Jiang Ruiyuan returned to China and began to engage in anti-Qing activities. After the Republic of China, he actively participated in anti-Yuan activities. As a result, he became one of the most wanted criminals of Yuan Shikai and Beiyang government. In the case that relatives and friends of the ethnic group dare not avoid it, Wang Caiyu is willing to go bankrupt with a clear conscience, often comforting his son, never complaining, and doing everything possible to help him avoid it and carry out activities.

14 June 14, Wang Caiyu died of a heart attack at the age of 58. Looking back on his life, he experienced two marriages in his early years and suffered the pain of losing his husband and children one after another. Born in troubled times in his later years, he was often frightened and had a bumpy life.
