Zhu Yuanzhang came from a rough background, but he didn't have many words. His descendants have few good emperors and many artists. Zhu Zhanji, in particular, is an indispensable great painter in all art history textbooks. He has made great achievements in flower and bird, landscape and figure painting, and his achievements are comparable to those of Song Huizong. The so-called "landscape figures, flowers, birds and bamboo insects, wherever they go, are extremely wonderful" is also true.

This picture of a hen is one of Zhu Zhanji's many royal masterpieces. Chicken is the favorite of the painter's works, which is related to his "five virtues" (poetry for Luo Chuang's Bamboo Chicken Map). In fact, Zhu Zhanji's painting is a new creation based on copying the painting "Self-hate Map" of the Song Dynasty. The man on the right is obviously father chicken, wearing a red crown and no floral coat. He is gray, and there is almost no noise, except for a few brown stripes on his tail feathers. That tail feather, like a hunting flag fluttering in the wind, is majestic; Another example is the high sail, which reminds people of "the two sides widened until the low tide, and there was no wind to stir my lonely sail", which was magnificent and heroic. Yes, Zhu Zhanji was in power for ten years and worked hard to create a prosperous scene of "benevolent politics and peace" in the early Ming Dynasty. Of course, he has proud capital, and this mentality is naturally revealed in his paintings.

This chicken father is obviously a loving father. Look, he is leaning down, listening to the charming voice of a chicken treasure. There are seven chicken treasures in the picture, and this one is very special. He is chubby, twisting his head and saying something to his father. At first glance, it thought it was lying on the ground, naive. On the other side, a chicken treasure is also running towards the chicken father. It runs too fast. Look, one paw is on the ground, and the other paw is held high, which reminds people of its shaky appearance. Really cute!

On the left of the picture is a hen. Different from the pattern of chicken's father's wing with sharp tail, its feathers are loose and drooping. It lies on the ground, guarding the baby around it with kind eyes. Four chicks surrounded him, each with its own modality. One is looking for food, two are coquetry to his mother, and one is lying on the ground with his eyes shining. Maybe he saw a bug? And the most naughty one jumped on his mother's back. Is it because he wants to stand higher and see farther?

What a peaceful and peaceful picture this is. In Zhu Zhanji's mind, he also longs for such a life scene, right? However, growing up in the palace, it is difficult for him to realize this wish. Since he succeeded to the throne, the two uncles have been eyeing each other. Even though he was kind-hearted, he had to execute his uncle Zhu in an extreme way and threatened his other uncle. In the palace, it is probably not an easy thing to want family harmony and filial piety. Therefore, it is not difficult to understand why Zhu Zhanji had a special liking for The Hen Map in Song Dynasty, and added a rooster on the basis of the original.
