What race are Russians?

Russians belong to the European race and have the basic characteristics of this race: light-colored skin and limbs, soft wavy hair, well-developed beard and body hair for men, narrow and high nose, thin lips, straight chin, clear facial contour and medium or above height.

Lifestyle is an integral part of culture. Russian culture occupies a unique position in the world culture, so Russians have different lifestyles in terms of residence, clothing, diet, etiquette, superstitions and taboos.

The Orthodox Church was introduced in the 10 century, and most residents believe in the Orthodox Church, one of the three major schools of Christianity. Due to the differences in distribution area and living culture, a series of local nationalities appeared among Russians in the middle of19th century. Among them, the Russians in the north, the Russians in the south and the Russians in the middle (referring to the residents in the Volga River basin and between the Volga River and the Oka River, whose language and culture have the characteristics of both the north and the south) are very different.
