According to the person in charge, the service life of the cemetery is not permanent, nor the so-called 20 years, but related to the nature of land use, generally 50 or 70 years. According to the "Interim Measures for the Management of Cemetery", the operation of cemetery can charge a one-time maintenance fee of no more than 20 years, and it can continue to be used as long as this part of the fee is paid on time. If the term of land use expires, it shall be handled in accordance with the relevant provisions of the state.

The construction of cemeteries is expressly stipulated by the state, not to mention private individuals. It is forbidden for any organization to build cemeteries on rural land! The state also has clear regulations on the construction of cemeteries, which must be approved by the relevant administrative departments, and the requirements are also very strict. In principle, it is forbidden to occupy rural land, that is to say, the cemetery is illegally built on rural land and must be cremated after death.
