I have never been to Seda, but I have seen a group of photos of the Red House Buddhist College on the Internet. It is said to be a very important branch of Tibetan Buddhism.

Finally, Seda was specially arranged for this graduation trip today. I heard about the large-scale demolition here before I came here, but Seda is no longer so beautiful in the future.

I'm afraid this is the last pure land on earth! People here only do one thing a day, that is, practice.

At eleven o'clock last night, I arrived in Seda in heavy rain and stayed in a Tibetan inn in the county. Early in the morning, I followed my little brother's hitchhiking and sat at the Sedala Rongfo College.

Because foreign cars can't reach the top of the mountain, five people have to climb from the foot of the mountain to the top. When I entered the Buddhist College, the first thing I saw was the Lama in red.

There are teenagers everywhere, boys and girls aged seventeen or eighteen, grandparents aged eighty or ninety with wrinkles. There is an indescribable excitement in my heart.

I can't count them when I see these red Tibetan houses densely and neatly built on the hillside. I can't imagine how such a huge and laborious project was cast in such a ravine.

I deeply admire the wisdom of these Tibetan people and their pursuit of lofty beliefs. In fact, to be honest, the conditions here are really poor.

Although the appearance of the house is very exquisite from a distance, a closer look shows that the space inside is very narrow and closed, and the rooms are too dense to ensure smooth air circulation.

Moreover, the mountain roads here are extremely poor, and I can say that they are quite primitive. Many villages in China have cement roads, but there are no cement roads anywhere.

I see many old people here who have suffered a lot, and they feel distressed when they look at them. Because the food and other materials that go up the mountain here are all brought by ourselves.

This is a specious place, and it is difficult to distinguish between true and false. Traveling here is not a cursory tour, but a life experience, with mottled light and shadow and blurred sound and taste. Makes you wonder if you are stealing dreams.

All the empty phases of the law are neither born nor destroyed, neither polluted nor clean, neither increasing nor decreasing. In this pure land, dissolved in this touch of red.

At an altitude of nearly 4000 meters, we young people have to breathe three times and rest ten times when climbing empty-handed, not to mention the elderly. But they walked slowly up and down the mountain at such a leisurely pace.

They are still holding rosaries in their hands and chanting in their mouths. They can't see the hardships and troubles of life. On the contrary, they are satisfied with their living conditions.

Panting, I climbed to the top of the mountain and followed the crowd to turn the prayer wheel. After visiting the Buddhist College, everyone said they would go to see the celestial burial together. The best thing about Seda is the celestial burial besides the Buddhist College.

From 1: 30 to 3: 30 in the afternoon, I watched seven or eight bodies being placed on the celestial burial platform, and then burning black smoke, leading all the vultures. It is said that there are many bodies today, one of which is a child.

My heart suddenly stood in awe, wondering whether the child was an accident or an incurable disease. I watched his relatives carry his body to the White Pagoda and then send it to the celestial burial platform.

After watching it for a long time, the celestial burial master officially started the celestial burial ceremony, and a few kilometers away from the celestial burial platform in Fiona Fang, you could smell the bloody smell of the corpse. Among them, I saw a sister and threw up on the spot.

This is the second time to see the celestial burial, but it still hurts. I am really afraid to see people die in this world, but there is nothing I can do. Celestial burial is the noblest ceremony of Tibetans and the beginning of a new life cycle.

I always thought it was amazing. At the beginning of the celestial burial, the sun was shining, and the dark clouds immediately covered it with hail and rain. A master said that the rain in the celestial burial indicates that the deceased did a lot of good things before his death, which is a good omen. It's called heaven crying.

As soon as the vultures fly away, they are buried, and the sky is clear, and the sky in Wan Li is clear. Moreover, these vultures line up consciously, just like a group of organized and disciplined teams. Anyway, this matter is a mystery, and many people are shocked.

After being buried in heaven, my brother and sister and I climbed Shandan Castle Peak in Yao Wang. It is the famous Seda Mountain, with an altitude of 4000 meters. I took a particularly pious turn, which was my first time climbing a mountain. I'm tired, but I'm happy.

I also saw the prairie dogs on the mountain and fed them cookies. Seda will be dismantled soon. It's never been the same since it was torn down. Fortunately, I have been here. In a word, Seda is worth a visit. The journey continues.

This trip really brought me a lot of shock. I've been thinking, maybe this is the profound culture of China. Every place, because of geographical location, environmental impact, climate impact and other factors, has created different customs, cultures and human landscapes. These different cultural landscapes really attract me deeply.

About flow

There is a direct shuttle bus to sertar county at Chengdu Chadianzi Station, which runs once a day, about 15 hours.

You can also go to Marcand first. There is a direct bus to Seda, every day. Or go to Kangding first, and then take a bus to Seda in Kangding.

If there are many people, you can charter a car to Chengdu Seda.

About accommodation

There are many hotels and inns in sertar county, and there are also hotels in Buddhist colleges that provide accommodation or borrow Lama's rooms, but the conditions are relatively simple. Some Buddhist temples have fasting at noon, so you can try free fast food in the temple.

Special reminder

1. It takes about an hour and a half to walk, usually by car. It takes some courage to watch the celestial burial on the spot, and both vision and smell are double tests. Please get ready before you go. Don't look too close, don't make any noise, and don't take pictures in front of you.

2. Go up the mountain to see the night view, pay attention to safety, put on more clothes and don't spend the night.

Sertar county is not big, but the altitude is high. When you first arrive, you must be careful not to exercise vigorously. Drinking more butter tea can relieve the symptoms of high resistance. Around the county seat, there are several hills to climb and overlook, but you should do what you can and don't try to be brave.
