After being pushed out, he was dismissed and laid off for 16 years. In the 13th year of Wanli (1585), he was re-employed. He has successively served as the right assistant of Nanjing official department and the suggestion of Nanjing Youdu, and advocated severely punishing corrupt officials and prohibiting bribery. Harry and Wen Panhu were so sad that they came to Jinjiang to attend the funeral. Later he died in Nanjing.
