Decoration master warned: There are six things in children's room, and excessive formaldehyde will endanger children's health.

House is the obsession of China people since childhood. When we were young, we were all crowded in a room with our parents, even a bed, so we were particularly envious when we saw that the male and female protagonists in film and television dramas had their own rooms when they were young.

Throughout the world, why are only China people obsessed with houses? In the final analysis, China people pay attention to "roots" and don't want to "drift", because "drift" means a lack of sense of security and belonging, and having a house means having roots.

In order to own a house, ordinary people scrimp and save all their lives, which is not only their own belonging, but also the starting point of future generations' happiness, because the lights at home are more affectionate than the moonlight outside the building, and a warm family has food for three meals and peace in all seasons.

I am no exception. After years of hard work, I finally bought the first suite in my life. I waited for two years until I got to my own house. At the moment I got the key, countless renovation schemes flashed through my mind.

In order to make better use of the building area, I decided to make two children's rooms into tatami, spread wooden floors and paste wall covering, and then make my daughter's room into princess style and my son's room into navy style.

So I found a friend who engaged in decoration design to help me make design drawings, but in order to ensure the quality, I decided to decorate myself, and then my friend introduced an old master with more than 20 years of decoration experience to help me.

When the master saw my decoration plan, he solemnly pointed out that there are several things in the decoration plan that can't be done in the children's room, otherwise the serious formaldehyde exceeding the standard will endanger the children's health.

When I heard the word "formaldehyde", I was instantly nervous, because I must have known this knowledge before the renovation, knowing that formaldehyde is the most taboo when staying in a new house, especially when there are children at home.

Formaldehyde is one of the main factors inducing leukemia. Every year, 2 million children in China suffer from leukemia due to formaldehyde, which has a great impact on infants and young children, 90% of whom are caused by living in newly renovated houses within half a year.

A newly renovated house will stay in the room for a long time if the quality is not up to standard, the decoration materials are unqualified and the formaldehyde exceeds the standard. If a child stays in a room with excessive formaldehyde for a long time, it is easy to get leukemia.

It is with this knowledge that I think the decoration materials of big brands should be safe and formaldehyde will not exceed the standard. I didn't expect the master to say that one thing would not exceed the standard, but if it was too much, it would seriously exceed the standard.

After listening to the master's words, I broke out in a cold sweat and thought that I almost became an executioner who indirectly endangered the health of my children in order to make the house look tall. I can't help but be glad that the master told me frankly.

In addition to pointing out the things that can't be installed in the children's room in my renovation plan, the master also suggested that there are six things that can't be installed in the children's room, otherwise the formaldehyde will seriously exceed the standard, so parents who are renovating can take a look and avoid stepping on the pit!

This is the first pit I stepped on. My family is a small three-room family with two children. There are too many things, and I want to make both children's rooms tatami, so there are many cabinets to put things in.

What I was thinking at that time was that it was not wrong to choose the decoration materials of big brands, but I forgot that the area of the second bedroom was very small except the living room and the main bedroom, generally around 10 square meter.

/kloc-the tatami made from 0/0 square meter house may have to go to the cabinet of 15 square meter, plus all particleboard is used, and the formaldehyde release cycle is as long as 15 years. In this case, the child will spend the whole childhood in formaldehyde, and it is terrible to think about it.

This is the second pit I stepped on. My children like to walk barefoot in summer or winter. I think the floor is too cold if tiled, so I want to make a warm, soft and non-slip wooden floor, which can protect children and smell like home.

However, we forget that we are in the north, and there is heating in winter, especially when our house is equipped with floor heating. Floor heating is not as fast as tile heating, and the wood floor is prone to deformation and cracking due to long-term expansion and contraction, releasing harmful gases.

The master said that such a complicated ceiling is not only not environmentally friendly, but also easy to accumulate dust. Needless to say, children will be tired of aesthetics after living for less than three months, and their character will be affected after a long time, especially those with young children at home.

Because children aged 2-6 are in an aesthetic sensitive period, lying in bed and looking at colorful ceilings every day may feel novel and like them at first, but after a long time, they will have aesthetic fatigue and affect aesthetics.

This is the fourth pit I stepped on. In fact, at the beginning, I just thought about painting the big white wall when I had children at home. However, I think that once the big white wall is scribbled by children, it will be ugly, so I think it will be safe to take good care of the wallpaper and use glutinous rice glue.

As a result, the old master said that there was formaldehyde in the glue, not to mention that the wallpaper and wall covering were treated by various chemical processes, and there was pollution. Moreover, the basement membrane also needed pollution during construction, and the pollution that could not escape from the third floor was bound to exceed the standard.

The master said that using latex paint to paint white walls is the most environmentally friendly and cheap. Moreover, at present, the state has strict quality monitoring standards for interior wall latex paint. As long as it is a regular brand latex paint product, there is basically no safety problem.

Three rooms in my family are directly customized cabinets, and then the rooms of two children are also customized desks. I didn't buy a separate desk, but chose a big brand of particle board, which is relatively safe.

The old master said that it is best to choose solid wood for children's desks, whether customized or purchased separately, because most beautiful desks and beds are made of MDF.

You know, MDF is an artificial board. The raw materials are wood processing residues, small diameter wood, sawdust and other objects, which are pressed by adding adhesive. Known as the "king of formaldehyde", it is not moisture-proof and expands when it meets water.

In addition, formaldehyde exists in the "inside" of the sealing plate, and its release is a relatively slow process. Therefore, formaldehyde in MDF can not be removed in a short time, and it will take at least 3 years to completely volatilize.

I stepped in the pit, too. The main color of my house is black, white and gray, so I thought that bright curtains could neutralize the main color and it wouldn't look so monotonous. I didn't expect the curtains to contain formaldehyde.

It is estimated that most people, like me, think that indoor formaldehyde comes from all kinds of plates and furniture. In fact, there is another place that is easily overlooked, that is, curtains.

The master said that the main components of curtains are cotton, hemp and other materials, which are easy to wrinkle and shrink after washing, so many manufacturers will add an additive containing formaldehyde when producing curtains.

In addition, in order to be beautiful and not fade for a long time, various dyes are added to the curtains when printing and dyeing. These materials all contain formaldehyde and binder. If the curtains you buy look brighter, the more formaldehyde will be lost.

Therefore, it is best not to choose bright colors for curtains, and don't use them directly when you buy them. Instead, it is washed with clear water first, and then exposed to the sun before use, because formaldehyde is soluble in water although it has no irritating taste.

After listening to the warning of the decoration master, my back was cold. I didn't expect that I just wanted to decorate the house according to my favorite style, but I stepped on so many pits that I almost made my child a mouse.

So in addition to the customized cabinets, the whole house was painted with latex paint white walls and tiles, and there was no ceiling. I only made zigzag wall lines, bought three pure solid wood beds, installed linen solid color curtains, and then opened the window for ventilation for half a year before moving in.

Parents are also reminded that for the sake of their children's health, the renovation of new houses should not be too complicated. It is best to open the window and ventilate for 3-6 months before moving in. Those so-called formaldehyde-free green plants or products are basically useless.

If the decoration is complicated, in order to ensure the safety of occupancy, it is best to find professionals outside in addition to formaldehyde to conduct an indoor air treatment or professional indoor air quality testing.

The decoration master warned: there are six things in the children's room, so don't install them. Excessive formaldehyde will endanger children's health. How many have you stepped on?
