The abbot of Jiu Feng Zen Temple said that this scene is very similar to Dharma.

Bodhidharma

The founder of Dharma, also known as bodhidharma, claimed to be the 28th ancestor of Buddhism and Zen, and the ancestor of Zen in China. Therefore, China's Zen Buddhism is also known as Dharma Buddhism, and Dharma is regarded as the "ancestor of the East", and it is also known as the three great masters of the Liang Dynasty with Zen Master Baozhi and Master Fu. Sailed to Guangzhou during the Southern Dynasties in Liang Wudi, China. Liang Wudi believed in Buddhism, and Dharma went to Liang Wudi, the capital of the Southern Dynasties, to meet the Jianye Association. But the interview didn't agree, so I crossed the river, went north to Luoyang, the capital of the Northern Wei Dynasty, and then went to Shaolin Temple in Songshan, Zhuoxi. In order to commemorate Dharma, people renamed the original Qinglian Peak, the main peak of Jiufeng Mountain, as Dharma Peak.

Hermit's legacy, seclusion

Jiufeng Mountain has a peculiar geomantic omen, and many literati regard it as a secluded place. At the end of the Western Han Dynasty, Long Qiuchang was the inheritor of Confucian education. He is famous for his lofty aspirations and profound knowledge, but he lives in seclusion in Jiufeng Mountain. He repeatedly refused the recruitment of a surname, a teacher, Shi Guo, Jiang Guo and other senior officials, and was complacent in Jiufeng Mountain. He became a junior official in management education and spread Confucianism. Later generations respectfully called him Longqiu Mountain in Jiufeng Mountain. During the Yuanjia period of the Southern Song Dynasty, Xu Bozhen moved to Jiufeng Mountain, built "An Zheng Shu Tang", "built a room to give lectures and teach thousands of people", and became the earliest Confucian center in Zhejiang. Tang Xu Anzhen studied in Jiufeng Mountain since childhood. In the second year of Shenlong, she was a scholar and an official in the official department. Later, she gave up her official position and lived in seclusion here. There is an "An Zheng Shu Tang" at the foot of the mountain. Later generations built the "Three Sages Hall" in Jiufeng Temple, and honored "Long Qiuchang, Xu Bozhen and Xu" as three sages. They all sacrificed together, just like Hu Temple, and the incense was immortal.

According to legend, Long Qiuji's moral character deeply touched Tao Yuanming, and he resigned many times after more than 300 years. In Xunyang Tao genealogy, Tao Yuanming made a special trip to Jiufeng Mountain to pay homage to the remains of Longqiu. As soon as he arrived at Jiufeng Mountain, he was shocked by the beautiful scenery of Mingshan Mountain in front of him and sighed: "I am safe here and open-minded to support the elderly!" As a result, he lived with his family at the foot of Jiu Feng. Because this place belongs to Dongyang, Zhejiang, it is called Dongyang Hermit. Because of the beautiful scenery at the foot of Jiufeng Mountain, he wrote the famous poem Peach Blossom Spring.
