There were 12 emperors in the Qing Dynasty. Why were they alone?

There were twelve emperors in the Qing Dynasty, but the tablets of Emperor Qianlong and Emperor Xuan Tong were missing from the ancestral hall. Emperor Xuan Tong's memorial tablet failed to enter the ancestral temple because Emperor Xuan Tong was unqualified.

First of all, let me talk about the memorial tablet of Emperor Qianlong. Was it created by Emperor Qianlong? Anti-sense Shi Sheng? In fact, his memorial tablet has been placed in the ancestral hall. However, after the demise of the Qing Dynasty, the tablet of Emperor Qianlong was quietly sold, so there was no tablet of Emperor Qianlong in the ancestral hall since then. It was not until an auction in September 2005 that it finally reappeared in front of the world. In the end, China auction experts won the memorial tablet of Emperor Qianlong for 4 million yuan, which disappeared for nearly a thousand years before returning to the Imperial Palace ancestral temple.

Secondly, let's talk about the memorial tablet of Xuan Tong, the last emperor of the Qing Dynasty, Puyi. The reason why his memorial tablet failed to enter the ancestral temple is actually very complicated. Although Puyi was the emperor of the Qing Dynasty, he was actually a puppet. He never really became a king in his life, so he was not qualified to enter the ancestral temple. In addition, all the emperors except Puyi were buried with the emperor, and Puyi was destroyed by the Qing Dynasty when he was still young. Later, Puyi spent half his life as an ordinary citizen and finally died as an ordinary citizen, so Puyi actually had a dual identity.

Since Puyi spent the first half of his life as an emperor and the second half as a common people, strictly speaking, Puyi can only be regarded as an ordinary person who once worked as an emperor. Therefore, the memorial tablet of Puyi should not appear in the ancestral hall of the Forbidden City, let alone be placed with the memorial tablets of ancestors like Nurhachi, Huang Taiji and the emperor shunzhi.
