Lincang is located in the southwest border of Yunnan Province.

Lincang is a prefecture-level city under the jurisdiction of Yunnan Province, located in the southwest of Yunnan, bordering Pu 'er in the east, Dali Prefecture in the north, Baoshan in the west and Myanmar in the southwest.
