Shajiabang is in Changshu City, Jiangsu Province.

Shajiabang Town is a town under the jurisdiction of Changshu City, Jiangsu Province. Located in the southeast of Jiangsu Province, south of Changshu City, with an administrative area of 70.24 square kilometers (20 17) and a permanent population of 57,789 (20 17). It governs 2 communities and 13 administrative villages. Shajiabang Town is located in the alluvial plain in the lower reaches of the Yangtze River, with a slightly higher overall terrain in the north, in which the eastern part of the town (formerly Tang Shi Town) has a higher terrain in the northwest and a lower terrain in the southeast, while the western part of the town (formerly Shajiabang Town) has a higher terrain in the southwest and a lower terrain in the northeast.

Shajiabang has a profound cultural heritage. There are two ancient towns, Hejing, where Yang Yi, a pioneer of Fu Society, and a bibliophile live. During the Ming and Qing Dynasties, there were 40 scholars. During the Anti-Japanese War, Shajiabang became the center of Su Changtai's anti-Japanese guerrilla base, and the New Fourth Army left its fighting footprint here. Shajiabang, a modern Beijing opera based on the story of Shajiabang revolution, is famous all over the country.
