Administrative divisions of Rongcheng district

199 1 Set up Rongcheng District, which has jurisdiction over three streets and four towns, namely Yuhu, Pandong, Xianqiao and Meiyun. The District People's Government is located in Dianma Road, Rongcheng District.

1In August, 1992, with the approval of Guangdong Provincial People's Government, Jieyang Economic Development Experimental Zone (Economic Management Zone) was established, belonging to Rongcheng District. Jieyang Economic Development Experimental Zone governs Yuhu Town, Xin 'an, Mei Feng and Jinggang.

1In May, 1994, with the approval of the Guangdong Provincial People's Government, Dongshan Administrative District (unincorporated area) was established, which belongs to Rongcheng District. Dongshan District governs Dongsheng, Dongyang, Dongxing and Pandong towns, and establishes Dongshan Management Committee.

1999, Rongcheng District governs 5 streets and 2 towns (Ronghua Street, Xinxing Street, Zhongshan Street, Xima Street, Rongdong Street, Xianqiao Town and Meiyun Town); Dongshan District Management Committee governs 3 streets (Dongsheng Street, Dongyang Street, Dongxing Street and Pandong Town) 1 town; Jieyang Economic Development Experimental Zone governs 1 town (Xin 'an Street, Mei Feng Street, Jinggang Street and Yuhu Town).

In 2002, Rongcheng District administered seven streets (Ronghua Street, Xinxing Street, Zhongshan Street, Xima Street, Dongshan Street, Rongdong Street and Pandong Street) and three towns (Yuhu Town, Xianqiao Town and Meiyun Town).

In 2003, Rongcheng District abolished Xianqiao and Meiyun Town and established Xianqiao and Meiyun Street. Xianqiao Street is under the jurisdiction of the former Xianqiao Town Administrative Region, and the street is located in the former Xianqiao Town Government; Meiyun Street governs the former administrative area of Meiyun Town, and the street is located in the former Meiyun Town government residence.

At the end of 2009, Rongcheng District covers an area of 183.25 square kilometers, and governs Xinxing, Ronghua, Zhongshan, Xima, Dongyang, Dongsheng, Dongxing, Rongdong, Pandong, Xianqiao and Meiyun 1 street, 1 town and 35 communities. The district government is located in Wangjiang North Road, Xinxing Street.
