Lingyin Temple was built in the first year of Xianhe in the Eastern Jin Dynasty. It is about 1700 years old. It is the earliest famous temple in Hangzhou. It is located in the west of West Lake in Hangzhou, with its back to Beifeng and facing Feilai Peak. The two peaks are surrounded by towering trees and ancient temples.
