Do fortune tellers really exist?

My personal understanding and the information collected on the Internet show that Ding Xian should be a folk jumping god, a goddess or a person who uses some tools for divination, fortune telling, asking M and other activities.

I think so, too. Isn't Ding Xian human? If you are a person, you have to go through life and death, and you can't even attend weddings and funerals. So how can we become a "top fairy"?
