In the old days, it was very lively to celebrate the Seven Qiao Festival in Guangdong. Liu Kezhuang once wrote a poem in the Song Dynasty: "Melons and fruits are blessed with fists, and their throats sell their voices. Cantonese people are very smart, and the lights are on until dawn. " Before the festival, the girls prepared all kinds of fancy toys in advance, and made all kinds of flowers, fruits, ladies, utensils, court models and other things with medulla tetrapanacis, colored paper, sesame seeds and rice grains.
Soak the seeds and mung beans in a small box and let them sprout. When the bud grows to more than two inches long, it is used to worship the gods, which is called "worship the crane" and "worship the gods". Or organize everyone to gather in the Zongxiang Guild Hall, put on various colorful incense tables, and offer sacrifices to the Cowherd and the Weaver Girl. The "incense table" is filled with flowers, fruits, rouge powder, paper flowers, shoes, daily necessities, embroidery and so on.

The traditional "Seven Sisters's Birthday" celebration ceremony begins on the sixth night of the seventh lunar month and lasts for one or two nights. Tanabata introduction:
China Valentine's Day, also known as Qiqiao Day, Seven Sisters Day, Daughter's Day, Qiqiao Day, Qiniang Festival, Chinese Valentine's Day, Niuniu Festival and Qiaoxi, is a traditional folk festival in China. Valentine's Day in China evolved from the worship of the stars, and it is Seven Sisters's birthday in the traditional sense. Because of the worship of Seven Sisters on the seventh day of July, it was named Tanabata. It is the traditional custom of Qixi to worship the seven sisters, pray, seek skillful art, sit and watch morning glory and weave stars, pray for marriage and store water on Qixi.
Legend has it that the weaver girl is a god and the cowherd is a mortal. Once, the weaver girl played in the world, then splashed into the lake and was picked up by the passing cowherd. They fell in love at first sight, got married and gave birth to a boy and a girl. But the love between man and god is against the dogma. The Jade Emperor ordered the Weaver Maid to leave the Cowherd.
When Cowherd saw that his wife was taken away, he immediately picked up a pair of baskets with a pole, put a pair of children in the baskets respectively, and chased the Weaver Girl. On the verge of catching up, a big river suddenly stood in front of him. This is the Milky Way painted by the Queen Mother. Seeing their sincere feelings, the Queen Mother made an exception and let them meet once a year on Tanabata.
