Guandu town, located on the Guandu River in the south bank of the Yangtze River, is a key town in Chongqing, a sub-center of Wushan County and a logistics center in the south of the Yangtze River. It is 56 kilometers away from the county seat, bordering Baolong Town in the east, Jianshi County in Hubei Province in the south, Tonggu Town and Miaozhen Town in the west and Jianping Township in the north. Wu Jian highway runs through the whole territory with convenient transportation. It covers an area of 202.58 square kilometers, with the highest elevation of 1.750 meters and the lowest elevation of 246 meters. The three-dimensional climate is obvious, and the animal and plant resources are very rich. The town has jurisdiction over 26 villages, 1 neighborhood committee, 165 cooperatives, 16339 households with 55794 people. It is the largest town in Wushan County.
