How to identify evil teachers?

How to distinguish evil teachers from good knowledge is necessary for practice, but practitioners can't just stop. If you stop evil teachers who have no practicing certificate by mistake, they will fall faster. In the last French era, the evil teacher said that it was like Ganges sand, so before deciding to stop, you must carefully choose to observe and avoid being deceived by the evil teacher. Evil teachers are mostly under the banner of Buddhism, and now their image is similar to Buddhism. Their speech and behavior are extremely confusing, and beginners who don't know much about Confucian classics are the most gullible. So, what do evil teachers usually do? 1. Likes to exaggerate: There is a kind of evil teacher who writes his own materials or lets his disciples brag that he is the incarnation of Buddha and Bodhisattva. When Buddha and Bodhisattva come back, they will distribute "King Fawang", "Living Buddha", "King Kong Master", "Great Hidden Master" and "Great Zen Master" to everyone, just like promoters in the world advertise. When getting along with others, no matter how the other person's background is, he will always be reincarnated as a master, how close the living Buddha is to himself, and a celebrity is the topic of his disciples. A true French king, living Buddha, hidden master, etc. Never flaunt this, but deliberately hide their own advantages, because they know that doing so will hinder their own practice. For example, although Tibet Dade Huazhi Rinpoche is the founder of Maning religion, he often calls himself an "old dog" and a "mad dog" to cover up his behavior. In addition, even if good knowledge reveals its merits and demerits in order to inspire the disciples' confidence, it is also said by fate, and it is after the disciples have decided to stop, not when they meet for the first time. Second, there is no inheritance, creating your own method: inheritance means that from the Buddha to your guru, every generation practices according to the orthodox method, but has a clear understanding of mind and nature. There is an evil teacher who lacks the most basic knowledge of Buddhism and doesn't know how to succeed in practice. He must rely on the good knowledge handed down from generation to generation to practice Buddhism. They claim to be the founders of new sects or the inventors and holders of new legal amendments in order to confuse the world by doing something unconventional. The knowledge of great goodness is carried out according to the teachings of the Buddha and ancestors, and there will never be another situation or another method. The formation of the existing Sect was not deliberately done by the founder of the Sect, but with the evolution of history, later generations gave him the name of the Sect and traced it back to him as the founder. The founder of every Sect will never declare "I am the founder of a Sect" or "I have a new Buddhism" when preaching Buddhism in the world. 3. Manifestation: There is an evil teacher who doesn't know the truth and doesn't know that conversion, desertion, bodhicitta and Prajna wisdom are the core contents of Buddhism and the focus of practice. Instead, the meditation in the world is regarded as a wonderful way to trigger the avatar, or the ghosts possessed by ghosts and gods are used to confuse all beings. All day long, I only boast that I have various special functions. I can see others, but I can't see them. I can smell people, but I can't smell them. I can know others, but I can't know others. I am proud of my words and intonation, just like a witch in the countryside. The knowledge of great goodness has a thorough understanding of mind and nature, and it also has the power to turn it into merit. But unless it is conducive to the spread of Buddhism, such as inspiring disciples' confidence and expelling evil spirits and heretics, it will never be deliberately displayed, because the precepts are not allowed. Fourth, do not attach importance to precepts: Buddhist scriptures say that after the demise of Buddhism, precepts are very important to practitioners. If you don't keep clean, you will never have the merits of meditation and wisdom, let alone become a Buddha. There is an evil teacher who doesn't know the order of learning and the importance of quitting school. When he was listening to the principle of Prajna, he mistakenly thought that the origin of emptiness was surprises. In order to flaunt their freedom and persistence, they not only don't learn to disobey the precepts, but also don't praise others for their joy in learning them. He even deliberately drank, smoked, ate onions and garlic in front of believers, thinking it was inappropriate. In order to break the disciples' insistence, Great Knowledge may take extreme measures that seem to break the precepts, but in order to prevent people who are not familiar with the situation from leaving Jaken, they will never mess around aimlessly in public. And even to convince disciples, it is done on the premise of having the corresponding amount of evidence. For example, if you want to kill a disciple's persistence, you must first have the merit of bringing him back to life. 5. Speculation and construction: There is an evil teacher who doesn't know how to practice, doesn't listen to argumentation, and doesn't practice meditation, not to mention working hard on Buddhist epiphany and Prajna. All day long, he just ran around like a headless fly, forcing the lay man to build a big temple and a tall stupa, and he could do more than just the scale and gorgeous decoration of the building. Its face when distributing building materials and lobbying believers is no different from that of profiteers in the world. As everyone knows, if there is no proper Buddhism to follow, if there is no real practitioner to live in, the temple is no different from a ghost cave, and the Buddha statue is no different from a magic statue! When the Buddha was alive, practitioners often lived in Araruoji, and there were no temples at all. The founder of later generations, Dade, built the Dojo by destiny, only paying attention to being suitable for practice, and never aiming at the beauty of the modeling pattern. 6. Blind asceticism: There is an evil teacher who doesn't read Confucian classics and doesn't know that Buddhism is practiced in accordance with the middle way, so as to attract followers to be unconventional, and then he violates the Buddhist system and deliberately ascends. There are those who encourage learning the Tao and don't eat it, those who advocate learning from folk immortals and kneeling incense, and those who brag about blindly burning their fingers and bodies, and so on. If you persist in asceticism, it will not only be difficult to free all beings, but also cut off their good roots and wisdom. The study of great goodness only teaches disciples to study hard in knowledge, to be good at following the roots and to persuade them according to the rank of practice. We will never encourage disciples to do asceticism beyond their power, which will damage their health and shake their confidence. Seven, only follow the fate: there is a kind of evil teacher, unwilling to practice lonely, under the banner of "Bodhisattva should follow all living beings", won the world fame and fortune. They hold Buddhist lectures, write books, set up logistics offices, vegetarian restaurants, or make friends with senior officials and wealthy businessmen. Their purpose is not to promote Buddhism and benefit students, but to entertain themselves. Bodhisattva follows all sentient beings, and there is no difference between going against heaven and going against it, and there is no trouble. These evil teachers are not like this. When they saw that karma was consistent with their expectations, they were happy, hurriedly greeted them, and were afraid that the opportunity would be fleeting; If it doesn't work out, you will fly into a rage and avoid it. Eight, secular affection: there is a class of evil teachers and laymen, with heavy habits, who treat people not according to Buddhism, but according to emotions. Treat teachers and fellow initiates only according to their own likes and dislikes, or exclude and attract them. There are three or six levels of treatment for outsiders. Those who are very supportive, respect themselves and talk to themselves are especially "compassionate". Don't be caring and attentive, try to satisfy what you think, and don't even autobiography if you want to practice. If you don't like yourself, it's hard to reprimand even if you seek the law according to etiquette and contact etiquette activities. This kind of behavior is like the behavior of laymen, and great knowledge will never do it. Truth, goodness and knowledge are equal in the heart, or praise, or encourage, or scold, or beat up. All for the benefit of disciples practicing Buddhism, not out of secular feelings. 9. Blow your own horn and ruin him: some evil teachers get petty profits in their practice, so they flaunt their practice as "the best in the world" and belittle and exclude other sects; In this clan, he boasts that he is the most extraordinary and even ignores the inheritance of his ancestors. All kinds of Buddhism initiated by the Buddha are suitable for all beings with different roots, and excluding any one of them will hinder the corresponding beings. Therefore, those who reject other Buddhist traditions and authentic teachings are slanderers of the law, and their crimes are greater than the five evils. As the Ten Classics of the Earth Stories says: "There is a kind of person who knows nothing about what he has seen and heard, claims to be smart, corrupts and slanders what I call karma and Mahayana, and does not listen to the words of all beings. There is another kind, which is really stupid and claims to be smart. It uses what I call sound, smell, multiply and multiply, and does not listen to the reading and reciting of all beings to eliminate slander. There is another one who knows nothing about multiplication and claims to be smart. What I said about sound multiplication and edge multiplication is slanderous, and I don't listen to all beings. If that's the case, it's called a person who denigrates Buddhism, and it's also a violation of all the three buddhas, breaking all the three buddhas' treasures, burning them to ashes, breaking all the eight sacred objects, and gouging out the eyes of countless beings. In order to make disciples confident, the Great Virtue will strongly admire the Buddhism taught by itself, but it will never be at the expense of belittling other sects, nor will it openly attack other orthodox religions, let alone criticize ancestors. 10. Nonsense: Buddhism talks about scripture, and Bodhisattva engages in theory to guide all beings to practice. Practitioners should follow Confucian classics, not their own feelings or hearsay. There is an evil teacher who doesn't know what practice is and doesn't want to learn Confucian classics. He is only guiding others on impulse. Because of ignorance, what I said is specious and full of loopholes, and heresy is mixed with ghosts and monsters. If someone questions such words and deeds, the evil teacher will show displeasure and even scold and beat him. The knowledge of great goodness is not the case. Anyone who teaches something will definitely quote Confucian classics as a basis to strengthen his disciples' confidence. Disciples will never be disturbed when they ask questions. 1 1. Practice failure: There is a class of evil teachers who, although they have extensively studied Confucian classics, do not believe in orthodox teachings and do not practice. Just like the academic researchers in the world, they beat around the bush on the classics. Although they are knowledgeable and knowledgeable, they are often trapped by troubles, let alone get rid of Buddhism and keep their blessings. The knowledge of great goodness is guided by Confucian classics, and through practice, the essence of trouble is bodhi, which really gives birth to the merits of the holy road. They sometimes worry about their disciples, but they never have any worries in their hearts. 12. Living in the secular world: There is an evil teacher who can't live in the Dojo, but runs around in the name of "promoting Buddhism and benefiting students". Today, I will go to Wutai Mountain to build a hut for retreat, tomorrow I will go to Tibet to seek dharma, and the day after tomorrow I will go to India to worship the saints. They used this as a cover to play around and cheat the support of local believers. Great knowledge is practiced in a quiet place in Alonso. Even if there is a reason to preach the law, it is invited. I'll be back soon after the preaching. It will never be like a wicked teacher who lives in the secular world, coming uninvited and lingering. Thirteen, I often rush to confess: There is a kind of evil teacher who has no merit in teaching, no proof of crossing over all beings, and I don't know what crossing over is, just to make money, perfunctory confession in the temple every day, and collect the support of the laity. If the supply is less, you will be full of complaints, otherwise you will be in high spirits and behave like a layman getting paid at the end of the month. In Buddhism, practitioners returned to sentient beings and turned over by their own proofs, and there were no formal scriptures at all. The donor gives more or less at will, and the traveler never leaves. Great knowledge is devoted to practice and will never waste time cramming scriptures. They made a merciful wish and won't cross it for fame and fortune. Fourteen, I have a deep understanding: there is a kind of evil teacher who cherishes his life very much, and most of his thoughts are spent on how to maintain himself and how to prolong his life. They are willing to seek medical advice and make the temple a comfortable nest, but they are indifferent to the real cause of promoting Buddhism and benefiting students. Great knowledge is by no means like this. They live in the world for Buddhism, practice hard all their lives, spread Buddhism with fate, regardless of fatigue and illness. 15. Living in bad luck: Some evil teachers often give people fortune telling, geomantic omen, totem, good or bad luck, and burn down small houses as a means to attract disciples and win fame and fortune. Buddhist precepts prohibit disciples from divining, observing images and predicting good or bad luck, which is also denounced as "bad fate" in the theory of great wisdom. If you were a great intellectual, you would never have such behavior. Sixteen, superstition: say that you see a living Buddha, a guru, have been to temples, read Buddhist scriptures, read Buddhist spells, eat Ganlu pills and you can become a Buddha immediately, or you can become a Buddha for generations without entering evil ways. This completely violates the principle of abstinence wisdom in Buddhist practice. It is also said that people who believe in Buddhism do not need to go to the hospital for treatment when they are sick. All they have to do is recite the Buddha's mantra and burn down a small house. This is partial, and I don't know that the cause is caused by many factors. Different causes and different treatments should be combined with Buddhism. Buddha and bodhisattva are not omnipotent, and there are three things that Buddha can't do. 17. Intimidate all sentient beings: Intimidate all sentient beings with the apocalypse, so that Buddhists hoard a lot of food and daily necessities and are always in a panic. This completely violates the teachings of Buddhism and the rules of the universe. There are good and evil in the universe, people are born and die, and buddhas and bodhisattvas cannot be changed. Catastrophe, when the end of the world comes, it will come naturally. Can you change it? People who study Buddhism should be separated from life and death, there is no life and death, as long as they practice hard and don't have the fear of reversing their dreams. I can't get rid of my horrible dreams, and I can't go to the pure land of Amitabha. Talking about secular things: There is an evil teacher who has no interest in learning revision, and talks about secular things every day, regardless of astronomy, geography, current affairs and politics, sports events, social customs and parents' shortcomings. If a layman asks how to deal with his secular affairs, they can't inspire his eccentricity from the legal point of view and guide him to put it into practice. But to tell the truth and get involved in the secular affairs of laymen. The study of great goodness only focuses on the liberation of all beings into Buddha, and will never act as such a "family counselor" to teach people from a secular perspective. In this case, if we can give a blow to a layman who only talks about the secular world and make him crazy, that is true, knowledgeable and compassionate. 19. Charity: Some evil teachers, in order to enhance their reputation and attract disciples, specialize in charity around the world. Today, they express their condolences to nursing homes and donate to build schools tomorrow, forgetting the duty of becoming monks and practicing Buddhism. Although charity in the world can save all beings from a temporary emergency, it is the cause of reincarnation after all. What's more, it is not Buddhism to use the property of ten believers to support the temple to help people in the world, and it will even damage the blessings of the recipients. Therefore, the knowledge of great goodness can only be given to people in the right way, persuaded to the road of liberation, and taught from the heart. His mind, speech and manners are all aimed at making all beings believe in the Three Treasures, leave life and death, and realize the Dharma. Otherwise, even if you do charity to make the poor in the world rich, you are still a bad teacher. As "Hua Yan Jing" said, "It is a famous magic industry to forget bodhicitta and cultivate good roots. 20. Shi Zhicong argued: There is an evil teacher who is not sure about getting rid of life and death and doesn't know how to practice meditation in Alangluo. He only knows a part of the scriptures and thinks that he can spread Buddhism and benefit his life. They are extremely slow to respond to compliments, thinking that only their own understanding of Confucian classics is the most accurate, and only what they have learned is Buddhism. When explaining Confucian classics, its purpose is not to guide people to learn from Buddhism, but to show off their erudition. If people are not convinced, they argue with others and force them to be convinced. The words are aggressive and make a lot of noise, just like a layman quarreling. There is even a forum on the Internet, dedicated to the debate on promoting Buddhism and eradicating demons. What about reality? Even if the argument is better than ten thousand people, can you be sure of life and death? Can it bring any tangible benefits to the losers in the debate? If not, this kind of debate is just a wise debate, just like the devil's speech. Truth, goodness, beauty and knowledge are discussed only to clarify the original meaning of scripture, and they will never argue for the sake of debate. 2 1. Destruction cheats: In order to attract believers, some evil teachers often say such things: "I have recited a heart mantra many times", "What is my deity? I have great merit ","Where have I been closed for many years "and" How can I transcend the realm from now on when I practice? " Such words and deeds have broken one of the precepts of Saman, and I will definitely die. The knowledge of great goodness is not only about keeping your own deity, the spells you hold, the closed place, the feeling of practicing, etc. But don't even show others the rosary for practicing dharma. How can you just talk to irrelevant people about this? Twenty-two, converted to people in white at home: many evil teachers in the family denied the monk's treasure by Buddhism, and implemented three conversions to believers, which ruined the Buddhism; Some evil teachers even converted to the three treasures of believers without conversion; Some evil teachers don't know that converting to Sambo is the first step, and it is also a key step towards Buddhism. They recruited a large number of disciples for fame and fortune, and these disciples did not know the significance of converting to the Three Treasures. They formed a group that seemed to learn Buddhism. They also recite Buddhist scriptures, recite Buddhist mantras and do good deeds, but that is only a form, because they have no karma to become Buddhas (convert to the Three Treasures), and these evil teachers have ruined the wisdom of many people who want to learn Buddhism. These evil teachers reject orthodox Buddhist teachings, create their own teachings, set up another portal, and confuse all beings with specious Buddhist teachings; These evil teachers reversed their priorities, denied the status of Buddhist abbot, and preached that the family (white clothes) played the role of abbot in Buddhism, with white clothes as the main method; These evil teachers confuse right and wrong with Buddhism, a clean land and a filthy land. 23. Recruit disciples and expand their influence: under the banner of Buddhism, some evil teachers recruit disciples everywhere at home and abroad, set up offices everywhere, expand their sphere of influence, compete with orthodox Buddhism, damage the image of Buddhism and mislead many people who study Buddhism. This is absolutely not allowed by orthodox Buddhism. These evil teachers and cults are the targets of orthodox Buddhism and the targets of the state. The above 23 points are typical manifestations of evil teachers in the world. If a knowledgeable seeker finds that the observed person has this kind of performance, even if there is only one kind, he can be judged as a bad teacher and never stop. If you have stopped, you should leave as soon as possible and no longer accept his teaching.
