Now Islamic countries still use the lunar calendar.

2. The solar calendar (solar calendar), also called "solar calendar", is a calendar based on the earth's orbit around the sun (tropic year). It takes 365 days and 1/4 days for the earth to go around the sun. The earth's orbit around the sun is called the tropic year. A year is divided into 12 months, big month 3 1 day, small month 30 days, and February only has 28 days. For the convenience of calculation, a year is 365 days, leaving 6 hours each year, and an extra day in February of the fourth year. This year is called leap year. So there are 29 days in February of leap year.

The solar calendar does not consider the relationship with the full moon and the full moon. Because the solar calendar is based on the tropic of Capricorn, it can reflect the changes in temperature and warmth on the earth, and it is simple and convenient to use. Now most countries in the world are using it. Today's Gregorian calendar is a solar calendar. Since the Revolution of 1911, China has adopted the solar calendar since the first year of the Republic of China, so it is also called the "national calendar". In order to be symmetrical with China's old calendar, it is also called "new calendar". After 1949, China was officially marked as AD year.
