The ancient village of Mentougou in Beijing, with its original ecological beauty, is a good place to explore ancient times and visit secluded places, and is famous for its ancient bridges.

Smoke is rolling, and green hills are continuous; The roots of the old house, the haystack is silent!

This quiet and beautiful place, Weizishui Village, is the most beautiful and primitive village I have ever seen in the suburbs of Beijing!

Weizishui Village is located in Yanchi Town, Mentougou District, Beijing, formerly known as Weizishui Village. Although it has been renamed, the name remains on the stone tablet at the entrance to the village!

Weizishui Village is an ancient village in the Ming and Qing Dynasties, with the earliest written records, which is twenty years of Wanli in the Ming Dynasty!

According to legend, since the Ming Dynasty, Gao, the ancestor of the village, moved here from Sophora japonica in Hongdong, Shanxi. After more than 600 years of reproduction, 100 families belong to the same clan, and there are no other mixed surnames. From generation to generation, the family pedigree is clear and clear.

Wandering in the streets, the number of the Gaos family hangs at the door of every household, and it is quite simple for a few minutes without closing the door or taking the road!

Weizishui Village is very small, built along an east-west ravine, and the mouth of the ravine is the village head.

A running ditch made of stones, nearly two meters deep and nearly two meters wide, extends from the village head to the village end along the ravine.

There is a stone bridge for pedestrians at intervals on the ditch. There are twelve such small stone bridges.

I have been walking at the bottom of the ditch in order to photograph these small bridges and flowing water. My cat walks around my waist when I meet a small bridge. Occasionally seeing this scene, uncles and aunts all laughed, which is probably normal!

There are 46 Ming and Qing quadrangles in the village, five of which are basically well preserved.

Its distinctive Ming and Qing styles make people sigh that the world is cold. These quaint ancient houses are carriers of traditional culture, and they are also non-renewable precious resources in folk culture.

The house in the village is built on the mountain, and the courtyard and the house are connected by stone roads, which is quite interesting!

Most of the new houses and old houses are white walls and gray tiles, and occasionally there is a reddish roof of the same color as the rocks here, but it doesn't go against it!

In this cold winter, overlooking the heights, between mountains, small villages and small houses, it is like ink painting!

There is a century-old pagoda tree in the temple. Years have invaded, and the trunk of Sophora japonica has been hollowed out, but it still stands proudly! The old pagoda tree is one of the symbols of Weizishui Village!

Weizishui Village has always been known as "one elm, two Huai trees and four ancient cypresses". The trunk of another locust tree in the village is only fist thick, but it is the same age as the locust tree at the head of the village!

"Four Coopers" stand proudly on four hills, but they grow in a straight line!

There are many ancient wells in the village. I see two of them are still in use. This scene is called Lingquan Gujing. There are a locust tree and a poplar tree in front of the well, which are as high as 15 meters, one meter away from the wellhead, and one meter from the wellhead to the water surface. The water level is higher than the mountain road below. It is also very interesting!

Lingquan continues to go forward, which is the end of the village. There is a little dragon king temple and an ancient cypress above, and the temple is dedicated to the memorial tablet of Lingquan!

Ancient mills of different shapes can be seen everywhere in the village, and some of them are still hung with signs, all of which are famous by the Gaos!

There are a lot of neat firewood piled up between the low streets and lanes. Most people here still cook with firewood!

The overall style of Weizishui Village is the same as that of Cuanxia Village, but it is not commercialized, so it is quieter and simpler!

It is said that an upscale homestay has been built here. It was cold yesterday, but I just walked in the street and didn't notice it!

Nanyan Road leading to Weizishui Village twists and turns, which is quite a test of driving skills. The mountain scenery along the way is extremely spectacular, which also adds a bit of mystery and romance to this village hidden among mountains!

Friendly reminder: I suggest that friends who like ancient villages come back in spring. Plants are green, flowers are in full bloom, and the white walls and gray tiles in the village will be more artistic!

And now in the fire season, many people may not be allowed to enter the village on weekends! (Note: The last two pictures are propaganda pictures of the village entrance)!
