Fortune Telling Collection - Comprehensive fortune-telling - The emperor is the incarnation of the stars.

The emperor is the incarnation of the stars.

The emperor was reincarnated as a man with great blessings. I had the habit of practicing in my last life, and I still have it in my life.

Emperor Qianlong believed in Buddhism, and after diligent work, he copied Buddhist scriptures in every hand to show his sincerity. He has written more than 700 volumes of Heart Sutra since he became emperor. In addition to the Heart Sutra, he often copied King Kong Prajna Paramita Sutra, Infinite Life Sutra, Dafang Guangyuanjue Sutra and so on. He also copied the Hokkekyo, with more than 70,000 words, and was called the "King of Classics".

After copying, collating and studying, Qianlong found that the Chinese texts handed down from generation to generation are "very different in phonology and sentence reading" because "Chinese is different from Sanskrit, with uncoordinated pronunciation and reading, chaotic recitation and inaccurate exhibition." So, before copying the scriptures in the 19th year of Qianlong, he consulted Master Zhang Jia III, a Tibetan living Buddha who was proficient in Tibetan, Chinese, Mongolian, Manchu and Vatican, to "revise" it, and copied another small print in five months. "Liang Xuan's greenhouse, daily classes, military accounts and palaces never stopped." For a prosperous emperor who is busy with government affairs and has made great achievements in civil and military affairs, it is really commendable. In the process of copying and translation, if it is really difficult to translate Sanskrit, but I am not sure whether it is consistent with the original, I will still copy the original sentence of Sanskrit under the translation, which shows the serious attitude of this great king. Of course, Gan Long was confident in his proofreading, and claimed that "knowing that it was wrong for thousands of years, how can it be right?"

In order to make their research and translation achievements "immortal", perhaps it is really to promote Buddhism. Qianlong once ordered people to "carve" this manuscript and "Luohan Cave in Shiququan". (See the postscript at the end of this volume, and "Secret Hall Zhu Lin and the Treasure of Shiqu, Continued")

This time (the 19th year of JOE), Qianlong copied and translated the Lotus Sutra. According to the records of the Secret Hall and Zhu Lin, it was folded into seven volumes. Today is the seventh volume, because the seal of the secret hall, the treasure of the ancient emperor and the bagua palm, and the thoughts are all sealed.

Compared with the first six volumes, this volume is particularly important, because it contains the proofreading and copying process and the title of the book.
