This is an obstacle that practitioners often encounter. The Buddha's practice in those days was opposed by his family and friends, so it is not surprising that we ordinary people encountered this karma. The treatment method is as follows:

1. Firmly expressing your beliefs to family and friends can generally be forgiven, because the Constitution stipulates that citizens have freedom of religious belief and no one can interfere.

2. In daily life, we should improve our self-cultivation, strictly observe the five precepts, honor our teachers, and let our relatives and friends feel the changes after learning Buddhism, so as to get their approval. There is no other way. This is the most important thing.

If we don't give up our secular career, if we don't become a monk, we should work harder to do our current job well. This may be the main reason for family members' opposition. Many people misunderstand Buddhism and think that learning Buddhism is pessimistic and world-weary. We Buddhist disciples should actively participate in social activities and establish an enterprising and positive attitude towards life. As we know, there are two brothers who study Buddhism, one is Li Ka-shing and the other is Jet Li. They have studied Buddhism for many years, but they are also thriving in their careers. The competition between the business circle and the entertainment circle is extremely fierce, but they are all doing well.

4. To learn Buddhism, you must learn the real Buddha. Take Buddhist scriptures as teachers and precepts as teachers. Mainly to study Buddhist scriptures and strictly observe the precepts. Don't engage in ghosts and gods, don't contact witches with sticks, don't draw lots to tell fortune, and don't engage in magical powers. These are not real Buddhism, they will only embarrass your family. So the Buddha should be careful.
