"Buddha! There are fewer leaves in your hand, but there are many more leaves in the forest. 」

"Monks! Similarly, I also learned a lot of Buddhism that I didn't tell you, but I only taught you a little. But why didn't I talk about other methods? Because they are of little benefit and do not help the life of the Holy Way, because those laws cannot lead people to disgust, greed, extinction, silence, wisdom, equal awareness and nirvana. That's why I didn't say those laws.

Monks! What method did I say? I said, "This is bitterness", "This is bitterness collection", "This is bitterness extinction" and "This is bitterness extinction". That's what I told you.

Monks! Why should I teach you these methods? Because they are good for you and help your holy life, they can lead people to disgust, greed, extinction, silence, wisdom, equal awareness and nirvana. So, monks! "This is bitter" and should be encouraged; "This is a bitter collection" and should be encouraged; "This is suffering" and should be encouraged; "This is the way to eliminate pain" and should be encouraged; This is the way to eliminate the pain. 」
