Well-known alumni of Huize No.1 Middle School

Before liberation, Huize Middle School was the cradle of revolutionaries. During the Great Revolution, Jiang Kaibang, the first member of Northeast Yunnan and the first party branch secretary of Huize, was a student of Huize Middle School. Lu Ziying, an underground party in Huize, Liu Yaomin, an expert in the study of Songs of the South, and Shi Lixia, the first female student in Yunnan, all taught in Huize Middle School.

After liberation, Huize No.1 Middle School has trained a large number of national athletes or outstanding athletes for the country, such as Ai, Yu Qiong, Lu Guangshu, Wu, Yin Guangyi, Wu and others, who have participated in major international and domestic sports competitions for many times and achieved excellent results. She is the first female doctor in Yunnan to study abroad.
