Baoguang Temple is located at No.81Baoguang Avenue, Xindu District, Chengdu, Sichuan Province. This is the jungle of Zen. Built in the Sui Dynasty, it is now a reconstruction relic of the Qing Dynasty, covering an area of more than 80,000 square meters.

Main attractions of Baoguang Temple

1, zhaobi

Baoguang Temple has a rectangular screen wall, about 10 meter long and about 4~5 meters high. In the south, there are big characters of Amitabha, with tiles on the top and dragon carvings on it.

2. Shanmen Temple

The Shanmen Hall of Baoguang Temple was built in the 15th year of Qing Daoguang (1835). It is a square building with a wooden and stone frame with hanging beams. The hall is 6 meters high and 6 feet wide. On both sides of the temple, there are many spherical statues of King Kong.

3. Daxiong Hall

The main hall of Baoguang Temple is made of wood. The whole hall is supported by 42 stone pillars and dedicated to Sakyamuni Buddha.

4. Seven Buddhas Hall

The Seven Buddhas Hall of Baoguang Temple was built in the 11th year of Xianfeng in Qing Dynasty (186 1). It is five rooms wide and four rooms deep, and it is located on a mountain with only one roof. There are two relief panlong stone foundations under the front eaves column of the main hall.
