Tanzhe Temple is located in a ravine in Fangshan District, western Beijing, surrounded by nine small peaks, with Tanzhe Temple hidden in the middle. It's just that the phrase "Tanzhe Temple comes first, then Beijing City" makes this thousand-year-old temple more mysterious than other places.

It is the oldest temple in northern China. According to historical records, Tanzhe Temple has a history of 1700 years. It is said that the six words on the plaque at the main entrance of the temple are now written by Emperor Kangxi. The origin of the name of Tanzhe Temple is very simple, because there is Longtan on the mountain behind the temple and there are many Zheshu trees around it.

Laohudong

There is a beautiful legend about the tiger's den: when the abbot was leading his disciples to recite the scriptures, a tiger broke in. On the one hand, the disciples were terrified, on the other hand, they couldn't bear to interrupt the abbot who was meditating and chanting. Surprisingly, the tiger quietly listened to the old abbot chanting scriptures and Buddha, without any intention of infringement. After that, the tiger often came to listen to the abbot chanting. Later, the tiger became a god tiger to protect the temple.

Diwangshu

The thousand-year-old tree behind Ursa Hall is called "Imperial Tree". This tree is more than 40 meters high and 4 meters in diameter. It is said that the name "Imperial Tree" was sealed when Emperor Qianlong visited the temple. This is also the highest title given to trees by the emperor so far, ranking far above the famous "Wudi Fusong" and "Yin Hou". Today, emperors have become history, while ancient trees are still lush and dancing with the wind.

Warp turning tower

It is said that it will bring good luck to walk around the turret several times. So, we turned around and around until we fainted, hoping to bring us good luck.
